Sara Rue‘s nesting paid off big for her baby bird!

Since welcoming daughter Talulah on Feb. 9, the new mom has been sharing adorable photos of her baby girl’s sleeping space on Twitter.

“The tree is from Pop Decors — I did it myself! Took forever, but was totally worth it,” she wrote of the colorful decal, which includes pink birds that Rue placed all around the room.

The actress completed the nursery with a classic white sleigh crib and bedding from New Arrivals Inc and Serena & Lily, matching dresser, cozy rocker and shabby cream rug. But it was her personal touches that really added a sweet feel.

Using colorful threads and white whimsical letters, Rue spelled out her daughter’s name above her crib on the pale pink walls.

“I got the letters from a craft store and attached the ribbons with hot glue,” she wrote of her cute D.I.Y project.

Beautiful nursery. :)

Beautiful! I like that it is vibrant and lively, but not overwhelming.

Beautiful, I like that she decorated the nursery herself and didn’t use a decorator like most celebrities.

Very pretty, and a room to grow in for several years….lovely!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
