Time to stock up on baby girl shoes!

Steve Madden and his wife Wendy welcomed their third child — a girl! — on Friday, March 8 in New York City, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Arriving at 9:04 a.m., Goldie Ryan Madden weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz., and she and Mom are both doing “great.”

The famous footwear designer and Wendy are already parents to 5-year-old fraternal twins Jack and Stevie.

“Big brother Jack and big sister Stevie are equally thrilled at the arrival of their new baby sister,” a rep tells PEOPLE.

Madden and his wife tied the knot in 2006.

Nice to see the convicted felon can still get headlines like that… nice reporting.

What a cute name, and she’ll always have fabulous shoes.

Goldie sounds like a name for a golden retriever..

Seriously WG? What abut OJ Simpson? Robert Downey Jr? Michael Vick? All convicted felons who have made the pages of People Magazine and Get off your high horse.

Thank you, WG. I forgot about the rule that a person convicted of a crime is not allowed to have any good thing happen to them ever again. Get off your high horse and grow up.

You’re right about the other felons, they shouldn’t be celebrated either.

And meghan thank you for the flame, unfortunately it is incorrect, your assumption that I don’t think convicted felons are allowed to have any good thing happen to them ever again is completely wrong. I never said that, I said they shouldn’t be celebrated when those things happen.

WG, no one is celebrating Steve Madden here or giving him a party. This is an announcement for the birth of his child, which is the whole point of this blog.

the man did the time and paid for his crime. he didn’t murder anyone.. something i feel would make him undeserving, in my eyes, of a happy successful future, however he would still be allowed one. he paid his dues to society. his life should be celebrated as well. you and i are no better than him. if you feel the way you do, don’t come to a party in his honor or a post in his name. duh!

meghan- I couldn’t agree more! Yes, Steve did something bad, but he seems to have learned from his mistakes (same with Robert Downey Jr., whom Emma mentioned), and I don’t see why he shouldn’t be allowed to be given a second chance.

Making a bad choice does not automatically make someone a bad person!

Anyway, congrats to them!

Well, WG, you would be wrong.

Congratulations! His shoes are the best!! Btw, people make mistakes. Doesn’t mean that he shouldnt have happiness and best wishes on the birth of his daughter. I am sure he will be a great dad.
