Now that the countdown of her baby girl’s grand entranceย has officially begun, Holly Madison is making sure her nursery is fit for a princess.

On Feb. 18,ย the mom-to-be shared a sneak peek of the Alice In Wonderland themed room, complete with colorful oversize flowers and a sky blue ceiling.

“Making progress finishing my nursery,” Madison wrote on her website, along with a photo of the half-done digs.

But the former Girls Next Door star isn’t leaving anything to chance. While dressed up in princess-themed gear (she loves all things Disney!), Madison put the finishing touches on the whimsical mural.

“This wall is taking forevvvvvvv,” she captioned an Instagram snapshotย of her painting her little one’s palatial sleep space.

One thing the expectant mama can cross off her baby must-haves list? A royal-worthy rocker, which she recently found at an antique store.

“I love this baby bassinet. It looks like it should belong to Pinochhio or a yodeller!” she also shared.

Wow, looks like a lot of hard work. Cool. The background is pretty dark, though.

love the room

Well done, Holly!

Wow! I like it but it does seem a bit too busy but maybe her baby will like it. I always think a nursery should be a bit more calm. This would be great for a bigger girl room though! She’s going to hate it when her daughter is done with this theme. It will hurt to paint over it! LOL

That kinda creeps me out for some reason. I wouldn’t get much sleep there.

Love how she’s doing it herself and not hiring some professional nursery planner to do it! Have to agree though it is a bit dark but it’s not finished yet so who knows, looks like a lot of hard work for so close to her due date! Hope they post the finished product ๐Ÿ™‚

You are so talented Holly! Do this for a living, you would make a fortune doing this for people like me with no artistic ability or patience!

I love that she’s doing this; just make sure the room is well-ventilated while painting, Holly! ๐Ÿ™‚

Great work but to me it looks so dark and goth. For a baby I’d have used much lighter brighter colors.

It’s beautiful, but I think a brighter green or colour would have looked better as the background!

I LOVE the flowers…but I’m not a fan of the dark background. Beautiful work tho, Holly sure seems to have some hidden talents in the art department.

Is she really doing this herself? I could swear I read in a previous interview that she hired a designer to do the room. Did she just pose as if she was painting or did she really do it?

Catca- If you click on where it says “the nursery” in the first paragraph, it takes you to an article where she talks about her plans for it…and she specifically says that she’s the one doing the painting. ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, the nursery looks adorable! I just hope the paint is low or no VOC (as “regular” paint creates fumes that aren’t safe for pregnant women to be breathing in!)! ๐Ÿ™‚

Dark will be nice and calm for sleep. If its too bright it’ll keep baby up and alert. Same reason you shouldn’t have light bedding. I’m sure baby will have a play room. My daughter is never in her room, she’s always in the living room
