Busy Philipps Pregnant SAG Awards Style Details

Well, it looks like Busy Philipps took her own maternity style advice to heart for Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Looking comfortable and chic, the expectant actress wore a custom Gabriela Cadena navy column gown paired with Brian Atwood black satin sandals, a Judith Leiber clutch and Irene Neuwirth statement jewelry.

“It was hard to decide which way to go. Do you hide the bump, do you show it off? I went with show it off! I embraced it!” the Cougar Town star, 33, happily explained while walking the red carpet.

Philipps, who Tweeted behind-the-scenes dish for fans as the event’s official “social media ambassador,” picked out her dress (and a backup!) well in advance to avoid any fashion mishaps.

“You have to keep fitting it because you grow every day. That’s the secret. You just have to have an amazing seamstress,” she told PEOPLE Friday ahead of the awards.

Well, this time around, the soon-to-be mom-of-two (she’s expecting her second child in June) had nothing to worry about — unless you count swollen feet.

“My feet hurt and my bump is ready for a t-shirt and sweats!” Philipps Tweeted on her way home.

tieraney- She got really big when she was pregnant with her first child, too, so I think she just tends to carry big. 🙂 Anyway, she looks great, and I’m glad she decide to go the “show off” the belly route!

I never understand it when celebs who have already announced their pregnancies try to hide their bellies! Way to go, Busy, for showing your colleages that a pregnant belly is something to be proud of, not ashamed of!
