Thanks for welcoming Christina Applegate for a four-part blog.

The actress, who stars as Reagan on NBC’s hit comedy Up All Night, is also mom to daughter Sadie Grace, 22 months, with fiancé Martyn LeNoble.

Applegate, 40, is the creative partner for, a monthly outfit club for stylish girls sizes 2-8.

She can also be found @1capplegate on Twitter.

In her third blog post for PEOPLE, Applegate is excited to share some of her favorite things for Sadie — and what makes them so special.

One of the best parts about having a child is watching them develop their own very special personality. I love watching Sadie continue to grow and play — it seems as though every single day she is discovering something new!

There are certain moments where Sadie’s personality really shines through. I am completely entertained — enthralled even — watching her play or interact with some of her favorite items. Here’s a list of some of my favorites.

Where She Plays

Sadie can play in her outside playhouse for hours on end, and I could watch her play for just as long. It really is beautiful to see her engaging in such imaginative play. We keep a set of play teapots and teacups and she loves sharing her fake tea. She also loves to make soup — except her pronunciation isn’t so great, and she seems to prefer calling it “poop”! She also loves to clean, and use her broom — and this is without any encouragement from me! A mother’s dream, right?

What She Wears

Fostering expression of her unique personality is something I try to do on every level and it’s so fun to see her express herself through her what she wears! One of her recent favorites is a pair of FabKids jeggings that look like jeans but are made with super soft stretchy fabric (so comfortable that she’s more than happy to keep them on all day!). She pairs these with any and all of her favorite tops — especially her rocker tee — and sometimes a hula skirt too! I love to see her “rocking” her own style.

What She Reads

Speaking of doing things all by herself, one of Sadie’s favorite books is called Timmy and is about a little boy who does everything for himself. Sadie seems to get really inspired by this book, which is both good and bad. Good in the sense that it’s encouraging her to learn how to do things by herself, and bad in the sense that it’s encouraging her to do things all by herself! For instance, now she wants to brush her teeth on her own — which can be a kind of messy experience with less than satisfactory results!

It is so wonderful to see what Sadie discovers each day — and I can’t wait to see what she discovers next!

SERIOUSLY?? Another “blog” from Christina Applegate that’s nothing more than a plug for the company she has a stake in?

I am so disappointed.. Your mommy blogs are usually SO great, and I really like Christina Applegate, but this blog was neither informative nor helpful.

B- You’re right, it does seem more like an advertisement than a blog, especially when compared to some of the other blogs that have been featured. I haven’t read all of them, but they seem less about what products they use v.s. parenting challenges, techniques, advice, etc. — we are inundated with advertising as it is so no need to feature it in posts masquerading as “blogs”.

I really like Christina Applegate – she has always seemed more down to earth, like Jennifer Garner – but this blog really disappointed me. There was nothing of any real substance, and it appears to be not much more than an advertisement for her company. And if that’s what it is – that’s fine – but then it should be identified as an AD, not as a blog.

Yup. I agree. These blogs from her are painful and clearly used to promote her site. really needs to stop. This is embarrassing.

I’m sure if she gave any parenting advice, the same people complaining here would go “Whom does she think she is?” Or if she suggested some high end stuff, “Does she think ordinary people can afford this stuff? Etc. Same way people criticize Gwen P. For stuff she suggests on Goop yet she never forces anyone to go to the site!

Christina Applegate has always looked great. Love everything about her!! She seems so genuine, which is rare in Hollywood!

I find Christina Applegate to be bitter and self-righteous. As a celebrity she must have to deal with people invading her privacy and that has to be pretty awful to endure, particularly with a small child. However, most people much more famous than she is weather it with a lot more grace. She also acts like she is the first person on this planet to become a mother.

I love Christina since her first days on Married With Children. Not only is she a great comedic actress, she doesn’t seem to be hung up on her looks (even though she is very pretty). I enjoyed the blog – I haven’t had a baby yet and it made me yearn for the kind of joy she clearly enjoys with her daughter. Kudos!

Where can I buy the playhouse?

Christina– and People– you’re better than this. This “blog” is a very transparent ad, and I’m insulted as a reader that I was expected to be too stupid to see that.

This is a real snooze. This is not nearly as good as the other mommy blogs.
