Great Ideas! Tori Spelling's Safari-Themed Nursery Style
Michael Simon/Startraks

While on bed rest awaiting the arrival of son Finn, Tori Spelling made sure to oversee every detail of decorating her youngest son’s room.

“In the early stages of my pregnancy, I found an adorable vintage giraffe figurine at a flea market. That was when I came up with the vision of Finn’s nursery,” the new mom tells PEOPLE.

Lucky for you, we have details on everything from the bold colors to the sweet giraffe knickknacks Spelling used (with help from longtime pals the Guncles) to design Finn’s baby room.

Do you have a sweet and adorable decorating idea? Share your photos with us here.

That nursery doesn’t seem very kid safe, between the rusty letter F on the wall and the mobile. And it looks like a 1970s motel room

Exactly not kid safe and safari lame

Good that everything worked out for them. On a personal note, I can never set up a nursery until after the baby is born. I am too superstitious.

there are no words to describe how hideous this room is.

Not very soothing, is it. Guess you can’t buy taste.

megan- How is the F on the wall any different than hanging pictures on the wall? As long as nothing like that is hanging over the crib or changing table (which the F doesn’t seem to be), I don’t see the problem.

And as for the mobile, those are considered safe until babies start sitting up (and thus can reach them), which Finn almost certainly isn’t doing at three months old. 🙂

Also, Finn may not even sleep in the nursery yet for all we know. At his age, he could very still be in a bassinet in Tori and Dean’s room. If that’s the case, then perhaps they’ll make the nursery a bit more baby friendly once he starts actually spending time in there. 🙂

Also meant to say that I’m not a huge fan of the nursery decor myself, but it seems to fit the McDermott family somehow. 🙂

I’ m with you Stacy. That room would give me nightmares! I like Tori Spelling but her decorating taste leaves a lot to be desired..

Liam and Stella could cut their hands on it.
