There’s a baby in there!

Kristen Bell — who confirmed Monday morning that she’s expecting her first child with fiancΓ© Dax Shepard — showed the smallest glimpse of a bump while shopping at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, Calif. on Tuesday.

The House of Lies star, 32, “had a little bit of morning sickness early on but is feeling great now,” a close friend tells PEOPLE.

Bell — who rocked an Express Crinkle Knit Moto Jacket on the outing — and Shepard, who stars on Parenthood, expect their baby in late spring.

The couple began dating in 2007 and became engaged over the 2009 holidays.

She’s going to be one cute pregnant woman. And look how serene she seems. Congrats, Kristen!

fanofboardwalkempire on

so happy for this couple- they will make great parents!

Kristen on

Forgive me, but that looks way more like a food-induced bump than a regular baby bump.

Jess on

Why can’t people just be happy instead of being mean.

Laine on

Really Kristen? She is pregnant. It is just rude to make a comment like that. She looks beautiful.

Nicki on

I’m happy for her! She seems like a real down-to-Earth kind of celebrity.

pinklily on

Gorgeous! There is no doubt she will be an adorable pregnant woman!

Amy on

Aw! I love them! Silly me though, I totally thought they were already married! She’s gonna be one cute momma!

Kat on

I prefer baby belly to baby bump.

Betty on

She’s adorable!!

Congratulations Kristin and Dax! They both have the best, most important quality for new parents – a sense of humor! They’ll need it the first few months πŸ™‚

So happy for this couple!

Magnolia on

Well, she’s funny!! He tries so hard, bless his unfunny and dull little heart! =/

Vanessa Cottrell on

They seem really sweet together. Congrats! You’re in for the best time of your life!

I am not really familiar with any of Dax’s movies, but I loved Kristen in Heroes and many other roles. She looks great and I hope everything goes smoothly πŸ™‚

Without a paddle is one movie i know he was in

Kristen- I have to respectfully disagree. Assuming “late spring” means April or May, she’s around three or four months along, and most women are showing by then. πŸ™‚

Anyway, congrats to her and Dax! Being that one (Kristen) has a fairly common, classical name and the other (Dax) has a very UNCOMMON (at least here in the states), unusual name, I’m very curious to see what they name the baby!

J on

Jess, why can’t people ignore it instead of trying to start drama.

Kristen and Dax are so adorable together and both seem so sweet and totally in love. Their baby will be so cute! πŸ™‚

I think Kristen will be a great mom too. She’s so funny, kind and down to earth. Happy for them! Kristen is so tiny, it will be interesting to see how big her belly gets.

Sarah on

It’s not a baby!! It’s a piece if tissue with a heartbeat that she can abort if she wants to,

Kelly on

Unfortunately your parents didn’t make that decision when you were just “tissue with a heartbeat.”

Delaney on

Sarah, you need to take a lesson in biology. That “bump” is a baby. From the moment of conception. You are heartless to say “she can abort”, why would you even say something so mean? You must be a mean person.

Good luck to Kristen & Dax, God bless you and your baby.

Carrie on

Read my WHOLE reply before you fly off your handle Delaney.

Actually, Sara is only PARTLY right. What she is carrying is a fetus – its not considered a baby or a separate human being until Kristen delivers.

You don’t have to take a biology class to know that – it’s common sense and common knowledge.

HOWEVER, I will agree that when Sara said that Kristen could abort her unborn fetus, that was VERY LOW & VERY DISGUSTING.

Autumn on

Actually, in many states, a fetus is considered a baby from the time it can live outside the uterus. So, if a baby can survive outside the womb at about +/- 30 weeks, it will be considered a baby.

galen on

Ouch! Hardcore! Since they plan on keeping the pregnancy, it is safe to call the fetus “baby”. So, as I tell my children on a fairly regular basis “if you can’t say anything nice, then don’t speak”

Holiday on

Sarah you are disgusting to talk about abortion when a happy pregnant mom is excited about her baby!

Kate on

For people to put rude comments as if they know these people is just sad. Get a life! You’re just bitter cause your life is pathetic and there are people who are smarter, funnier and prettier than you and they work hard to stay that way. I love this couple. Congrats to them!

toni on

What was the point of saying that… get a life, better get some help because you seem to have some issuses…

Dee on

I like her and her fiance is a funny guy. Congrats to them both. She is glowing πŸ™‚

Denise S. on

I must be getting old because I have no idea who she is except another celebrity expecting a baby with her “fiance”.

meghan on

Way to take the bait, delany, holiday. Almost as stupid as Sarah.

Jess on

I love this couple they seem so happy together. I imagine this child will not only be very cute but will also grow up to be very funny.

Dorie on

Sarah, you’re pathetic and one day, YOU’LL have to answer to God for what you’ve said.

Kim on

Thank-you for not calling it a baby “bump”!

Magnolia on

Please everyone – ignore Sarah! She doesn’t care about what you guys say back, she is just someone who is saying something terrible because daddy doesn’t pay enough attention and instead of acting like an intelligent human being she said some shit like that! Don’t give her the satisfaction of writing her back.

dorie on

We seem to be hearing a lot about this pregnancy and I think it’s funny that she is so for Obama, who is for abortion.

Anonymous on

Autumn- When you say a fetus can be considered a baby as soon as it can survive outside the womb, do you mean with or without medical intervention? Because if it’s the former, then you could potentially consider a fetus as young as 22 weeks or so a baby (the most premature baby ever to survive, as I recall, was born just one day shy of that).

If it’s the latter, though, then 30 weeks would probably be about right. I’m NOT nit-picking, I assure you. I’m honestly curious as to what you meant.

Anonymous on

dorie- Obama is pro-CHOICE, not pro-abortion. There is a difference (pro-choice means you support a woman’s right to choose what to do or not do with her own body. Pro-abortion, on the other hand…well, that would mean that you think every woman with a certain set of circumstances should have her baby aborted and or that every baby with certain issues should be aborted!).

I’m not pro-choice either, but I think it’s a bit extreme to say that Obama actually advocates killing babies!

Anonymous on

Magnolia- Exactly! Sarah is clearly a troll, and trolls do what they do for one reason, and one reason only: because they want to get a rise out of people for whatever reason.

Sarah obviously wanted people to be outraged by her comment. Let’s not give her the satisifaction!

Sarah on

Yay! I love her and Dax. This couldn’t happen to a better couple!!
