How in the world do you get that this article says to skip the organic food?? Your title clearly seems to imply that the article will in some way explain that organic food is bad/not worth it, however the article clearly states “pesticide levels are lower when you choose organic, and that can be beneficial for kids.”

Maybe you should re-think your link title.

Yikes! That study does NOT say to skip organic food! The AAP suggests using EWG shopping guides and points out how young children may be uniquely vulnerable to pesticides.

Your “Skip the Organic Food” title is extremely irresponsible and should read, “New Study Shows That Non-Organic Foods Are Better For You Than a Happy Meal”. They in NO WAY stated you should skip it. Their point was that organic or not, it has the same nutrients so it’s better to eat a balanced, non-organic meal than processed, convenience foods full of chemicals and pesticides. “At this point, we simply do not have the scientific evidence to know whether the difference in pesticide levels will impact a person’s health over a lifetime, though we do know that children — especially young children whose brains are developing — are uniquely vulnerable to chemical exposures,” Dr. Joel Forman, also a lead author of the report and an AAP Council on Environmental Health member, says in the release.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
