In honor of National Make a Difference Day, children’s book author Nick Katsoris is teaming up with The National Philoptochos Society to encourage kids to become more active in their communities.

And who better to help promote his efforts than do-gooder and fellow Greek-American Jennifer Aniston?

With a little help from her father, actor John Aniston, the newly engaged actress narrates the tale of Loukoumi the lamb as she goes about her day learning to help others in need.

Beginning Oct. 21, Philoptochos chapters nationwide will spend the week reading Loukoumi’s Gift to children and then brainstorming ways they can make a difference in their community.

Also, for every book sold at each event, Katsoris will donate $4 to their national society and gift a free copy to a local charity.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
