‘How to celebrate Halloween in a healthy way’

For the love of CHRIST! it’s one night a year. just let your kids be kids, and make kid memories, have FUN! ‘limit them to one or two pieces on Halloween’ – that’s ridiculous. one night of eating a little bit too many sweets is not going to kill them. some parents need to learn to be a little less uptight about things and just let their kids breathe a bit…..

I followed Pat Neshek when he was with the Twins, and I still follow him on Twitter. I was devastated when he shared the horrible news the other night and left him some kind word there. I wish him and his wife well and hope they can find closure in all of this. Time heals all wounds, but it sometimes leaves a scar.

My heart breaks for the Oakland A’s pitcher who lost his newborn son less than a day after his birth. It’s difficult to imagine anything worse.

“Non human animals?” Hate to break it to them but animals aren’t human in the first place! (Yes, I know humans are mammals. Not the point here!)

JM, I agree with you completely! I would not allow my child to celebrate and/or participate in Halloween because of my religious beliefs. However, I think it’s crazy to make all these rules and flip out over candy and whatnot all. It’s one day a year! I honestly don’t understand why a parent would be so strict about it when it’s only one day a year. Either let your child participate or don’t but don’t suck all the fun out of it! Relax. Enjoy.

My heart breaks for Pat and his wife. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they’re experiencing. My thoughts are with both of them during this difficult time.
