Mom-to-be Vanessa Lachey savors her own sweet treat before dishing scoops of Edy’s ice cream at an event to raise money for Operation Smile held Thursday in New York City.

“I can’t believe you are allowed to fly pregnant all the way up to 36 weeks!!! Then no more! That’s pretty far along,” the Wipeout host, 31, Tweeted of her final work trip.

She and husband Nick Lachey expect their son in September.

“Her pregnancy’s been very smooth,” the singer, 38, says. “Fingers are crossed.”

gigi and Susan- I was just thinking the same thing! It must just be the dress, though, since she looked plenty pregnant in that shot of her bare belly that she tweeted!

Do they ever cover any other pregnant celebs except her? Again, she’s loving the attention she’s getting from being the first seemingly pregnant person.

They all do, anytime a celeb needs publicity, they get pregnant.

and once the new is off of the baby, they are back to the sidelines.

example: alicia silverstone, selma blair, kristen calavari(spelling) you never read or see them, until they were pregnant, then was a daily update, now, not so much………..

K- And so what if Vanessa feels that way (she’s certainly not the first, nor will she be the last!)? It’s her first pregnancy, let her enjoy it!

cbaker- Or maybe they got pregnant because they *gasp!* WANTED to! I’m sorry, but I just can’t see why anyone would put themselves through nine months of pregnancy, childbirth, and eighteen years of raising a child just for the sake of publicity.

And all of the mothers (except for Kristin Cavaleri, who hasn’t given birth yet) that you mentioned clearly adore their little ones, so obviously they actually WANTED them.

I also meant to say that I’m not at all saying that publicity is never a factor in a celeb deciding to get pregnant. I just don’t think it’s ever the ONLY one, like so many people seem to think!
