These two moms-to-be are already earning their stripes in motherhood!

Stepping out for a lunch date in Van Nuys, Calif. on July 16, Vanessa Lachey swathed her growing belly — she’s expecting a boy on Sept. 15 — in Nicole Miller‘s Stretch Maxi Dress ($230), which she paired with her fave jean jacket, gold flats and an over-sized hobo.

But only the month before we spotted Tamera Mowry-Housleywho’s due on Oct. 30 with a son — in a similarly stylish number while posing with her burgeoning bump.

The actress opted for a shorter fuchsia frock with Nicole Miller‘s Stretch Fabric Maternity Dress ($190).

From Lachey’s polished perfection to Mowry-Housley’s laid-back look, we think both expectant mamas have hit home runs!

I would definitely rock tamera’s dress. Love the colors. 🙂

I love Vanessa’s outfit, but I don’t know if I would have worn it during my pregnancy. It looks like it would be clingy on places I wouldn’t want it to be, i.e butt and hips :/

I like both but I think the short length of Nicole Miller’s dress is the best.

Love love Vanessa’s dress but the price for my middle class life is totally absurd.

When I got pregnant the first time, I bought some nice timeless pieces that I felt I could wear through more than one pregnancy. My friends were having babies circa the same time, so we traded and loaned each other clothes, as well. We all saved money, and were able to dress better than we would have been otherwise. These dresses seem as if they would be comfortable through more than one pregnancy, if desired, and therefore, maybe worth the price.

Both look great but I’d pick the one that Tamera is wearing — haven’t quite figured out how to rock the maxi dress! The price of these dresses is a bit on the high side for the average maternity clothes shopper but I recently read on this blog about a site that rents maternity clothes so you pay much less per item and keep what you want for as long as you want, then send it back when you’re done!
