Really, People…make “motherhood a breeze?” First of all, there’s nothing that can make it a “breeze…” it’s a hard (albeit amazing) job. Don’t belittle. Secondly, you fill your album with mostly overpriced, luxury items that your average reader can likely not afford. I’m seriously disappointed right now.

BCarlson, I agree! The only thing that would make motherhood “a breeze” is an unlimited supply of birth control.

@BCarlson. Exactly what I was thinking. It makes me wonder if half of the people writing about motherhood have even had children.

Hmm… pretty sure that there aren’t too many people who would spend almost $1,000.00 on a travel system! Oh, and $40.00 for a blanket? $19.00 for a SINGLE bottle? You’re nuts!

I agree with everyone. What you picked is ridiculous and I would never call most those items “newborn essentials”.

Love the Ergo baby carrier, I had the same one for both my kids it is worth every penny. I wish I had a cute one like Alyson has.

I guess it depends on where you live. In Australia everything baby related seems to be expensive. The cheapest travel system is at least $700 so I thought nothing of spending $1100 on ours. Seems like a normal price for a baby wrap too. But agree with others. More than half of the stuff picked it definately not an essential and I doubt people have them on their wish lists!

I don’t know how that baby is breathing in that thing. Her hand is sticking out where it looks like the foot should be. I looks very uncomfortable.

This list is absolutely ridiculous…

A feeding clock? Your baby serves as the only clock you need! They will definitely let you know when they’re hungry.

$940 for a stroller? $345 diaper bag?

I wish someone would have told me that in reality, you don’t need that much in order to have your baby. Breast milk (or formula), a few bottles, a few PJs and onesies, diapers and wipes, a car seat and you are basically good to go.
