Another reason to smile: Lily Allen is said to be expecting another baby with husband Sam Cooper.

The couple, who wed in Gloucestershire, England, last summer while the pop star, 27, was pregnant with daughter Ethel Mary, now almost 8 months, are “over the moon,” a source told the U.K.’s Sunday Mirror.

Due in December, Allen, who has since taken her husband’s last name, “has started telling her friends, and everybody in her close circle is so excited for her,” a friend adds, according to the report.

Without outright confirming, Allen has made what seems like a sly reference to the pregnancy on Twitter.

“Thank you for all your congratulations today. I honestly couldn’t be happier. such an honour to be on the list!#Timestop50tweeters,” she Tweeted.

She was more vocal when it came to congratulating another British pop star on her pregnancy: Adele.

“Wow,” Allen Tweeted. “Adeles preggers!”

A rep for the singer declined to comment.

Irish Twins! Just like me and my sister, we’re 11 months apart and the same age the whole month of every July. Good luck and congrats to Lily and Sam! :)

They won’t be Irish twins Sarah S. Lily’s first child is already 8 months, assuming she is 3 months along, the next baby will be born when Ethel is 14ish months. …if I did my math correctly that is.

Anyways, congrats to them. I hope she has another healthy pregnancy and baby. She has suffered so much tragedy, I wish her lots of happiness.

I’m not surprised she’s not announcing it given her history. I hope this time works out as well as the last one did, she deserves it.

Mia- Actually, this will be baby number three for Lily. Before Ethel, she had a little boy who was stillborn at six months into the pregnancy (she also had an early miscarriage prior to that pregnancy, but most people would consider that a first pregnancy rather than a first child). I’m sure she considers the little angel she had to bury just as much her child as she does Ethel!

Anyway, congrats to her and Sam, and here’s hoping for another healthy pregnancy and baby for them! :)

Congrats to her. I don’t blame her for not being to vocal about it. If I had two devastating miscarriages, I would almost feel like announcing it would be bad luck. Here’s to another healthy pregnancy.

dee- As I said last night, her second loss wasn’t a miscarriage (although she’s apparently referred to it as such, which seems strange to me!). She lost her little boy at six months into the pregnancy, and at that point it’s considered a stillbirth rather than a miscarriage.

Congratulations to Lily, Sam and baby Ethel if she is indeed pregnant!
