Parenting “no longer” a 50/50 split? Was it ever? I think that article is pretty ridiculous myself. Families do what works best for them and often I think it’s when husbands and wives nit pick the amount of work within the home each one does… that’s when things fall apart.

Rachel, agreed. I have never seen a family in which the housework is truly split 50/50. One spouse usually ends up picking up the household slack because or work/commitments/etc. There’s not anything necessarily wrong with it and sometimes it just has to happen, but 50/50? I don’t recall that ever being the norm – just a goal.
