Anna Paquin‘s own big premiere is still several months away, but the actress showed off her growing baby bump Wednesday at a Hollywood screening of the new season of True Blood.

“I feel fantastic,” she told reporters. The Oscar winner, 29, who’s expecting her first child with husband and costar Stephen Moyer this fall,ย sported a stylish black dress, with her bump noticeably larger than last month.

“It’s always amazing,” Moyer told PEOPLE of being a dad again (he has two children — Lilac, 10, and Billy, 12 — from a previous relationship).

“I love my kids so much. And the fact that Anna is pregnant just adds more crazy to the bundle of fun.”

The fifth season of True Blood premieres June 10 on HBO.

Jessica on

Aww! How cute is she with her little baby bump?! I adore her & Stephen as a couple!

Boke7 on

She’s adorable! So talented and entertaining. The phrase “baby bump” has got to go, though.

Mimi on

My favorite HW couple. They seem so real, so down to earth. Anna looks beautiful and I wish her (and Stephen)all the best!

Jaylynn on

She looks gorgeous!

I am so sick of the term “baby bump” and the fact that a pregnant woman can’t go out in public without “flaunting” or “showing off” her pregnant belly. I don’t see any headlines saying “Famous celebrity flaunts head.” The belly is part of being pregnant. There is no choice to leave it at home. Geez!

Marky on

I remember standing with my back arched like that, so my belly would look bigger! I never got really big like some, so I would accentuate it as much as possible. LOL She looks great!

CL on

LOL @ TJ you cracked me up. I never thought of it that way. True! Nope you can’t leave it (a babe in the belly) home! And as such, you can’t be flaunting it as the mag rags say you/they are.

Most of us aren’t pregnant and try sucking it in (our mid section) so for her, as a woman who is famous and has to wear these fancy gowns, she likely has been sucking it in for years now! So now that she does not have to-she can’t for good reason- she won’t do so and how good for her. She is lovely and talented and I wish them the best!!

I actually see what they mean by Anna “showing off” her bump. She kind of is, if you think about it. Not only does she seem to be, as another poster pointed out, arching her back in an attemptt to make her belly look bigger, but she chose to wear a form-fitting gown instead of one that would somewhat hide the “bump”. So clearly she’s a proud mama-to-be who wanted to show off her pregnancy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, what else could PEOPLE really say about this picture of Anna? “Anna Paquin shows up obviously pregnant to True Blood premiere”? Not exactly very catchy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

With that out of the way, I think it’s kind of sad that we rarely see Stephen with his older children. Then again, we rarely even see him and Anna out and about, so maybe they’re just very private people.

By the way, I wasn’t trying to imply that Stephen is a bad father. From his comments here, he appears to be just the opposite. All I was saying is that it’s sad that he doesn’t seem to get to see them very often.

@anonymous: i believe stephen’s older children live in england, where there are much stronger paparazzi laws in regards to minors. so that fact, paired with how private they seem to be, might be responsible for lack of photos…

I actually saw pictures of his daughter both with her mother and Anna Paquin. In an interview I read, Stephen talks about both his kids visiting him on the set and how surprised he was to see kids asking for a dog while he was concerned about them getting scared of the whole vampire thing. He appears as an involved father.

TJ, you do crack me up and I get what you’re saying, but you do realize a person’s head doesn’t grow for 9 months and then disappear again? It’s not really the same thing… I know a lot of people don’t like the term baby bump but it’s just meant to be an affectionate description of the pregnancy and the word bump is used not just b/c of the alliteration with baby, but also because it implies something smaller than say calling it her “baby beach ball” or something like that so the thought is that it is one of the more sensitive descriptors.

Anna looks amazing! She always looks so fresh and ready to kick some ass! Her baby belly has grown this past month. I am sure that she and Stephen are extremely excited about their precious bundle of joy! Can’t wait for the season premiere of True Blood!

noam and Charlotte- Thanks for the info. I’ve never thought that Stephen wasn’t an involved father. Rather, my thoughts were that he seems to love his kids a lot and be a very involved father, but that, like many fathers, he appears to get the short end of the stick custody-wise.

Most of the time, when a couple splits, the mother gets the kids most of the time. And I don’t think that’s right (unless, of course, the father is abusive, an alcoholic or drug addict, or otherwise not the best person for the kids to be around). That being said, however, I did not realize that Stephen’s kids live in England. Obviously equal custody is going to be pretty much impossible when the parents live in different countries! Add in Stephen’s job, and it’s no wonder his kids are with their mothers (from what I’ve read, Stephen had Lc with a different woman than he had Billy with) most of the time.

I really over-reacted, and I apologize!

I actually think Bill, his son lives in England but he visits him quite frequently. Lilac lives in California (at least judging by the pics there are around the internet). wish them all the best, not a fan of their characters in TB but they look like sweet and kind people in real life!

RKF on

They are an adorable couple, and I wish them them best! I love them on True Blood – the chemistry is palapable. ๐Ÿ™‚

And can people give the “I hate the term Baby Bump!” a rest already? We get it, you don’t like the terminology. Loosen up, this article is about Anna Paquin expecting, not a place to air your own grievances. If you have a sincere problem with it write to People and complain. Sheesh.

look on

Is the baby really a vampire?

kasia on

“he has two children โ€” Lilac, 10, and Billy, 12 โ€” from a previous relationship” – relationshipS, Lilac and Billy has different mothers

tori on

Stephens daughter Lilac lives with her mother but close to Anna and Stephen as he’s constantly photographed with her going to all her sporting events. His son however lives with his mother in England but Stephen travels back and forth there quite frequently.

Lou on

If Bill Moyer was a woman with his third child to a third different man people would be definitely judging him. I remember when Mel B was pregnant with her third daughter (all three have different fathers) people were commenting on it. Dang double standards. I’m sure he’s a good father, but three kids to three different women is pretty hardcore.
