Kelly Osbourne: Pearl Gave Me Baby Fever

She only recently became an aunt, but Kelly Osbourne is just about ready for another title: mom.

“I’ve got baby fever after I saw [her],” Osbourne says on Wednesday’s Anderson, discussing the first time she saw her 2-week-old niece. (Her brother Jack welcomed a daughter, Pearl Clementine, on April 24.)

She adds: “I’d be the best mum ever. I would. I’ve got great training from my mum.”

Her epiphany?

“I have to tell you, I never believed in love at first sight,” the Fashion Police co-host, 27, tells Anderson Cooper. “And then when I saw how perfect and beautiful this baby was and is, I lost it. I cried more than anyone else.”

For now, she’s busy being Aunt Kelly for baby Pearl, who made her debut on the cover of HELLO! with mom Lisa Stelly, dad Jack and grandma Sharon (wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne).

“I’m under strict instruction not to spoil her,” she says, “but I don’t think that’s going to stick.”

Kelly looks SO pretty lately….I actually think her purple hair suits her.

lifeasahouse on

Please don’t get pregnant Kelly. Just be a great Aunt for now.

John Q. Public on

It’s a shame she couldn’t catch “Neuter Fever” instead.

Tzarina on

It is so easy to “lose it” when you see a beautiful baby. But when it is your baby what you lose is mostly SLEEP. Think about it.

Moi on

Note to Kelly: All new parents attempt to instruct us aunts not to spoil them. Just ignore them; I always do! =)

sally on

So Osbourne, known for nothing but her dada’s name, went on Anderson to talk about her niece??

Theresa on

Try to enjoy yourself before having a baby Kelly. Remember that baby fat is really hard to loose. I would hate to see you lose your gorgeous little figure. There is plenty of time to have babies.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Kelly reproducing, just yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elizabeth on

Isn’t it fun Kelly? I just became an aunt 7 months ago and I love my nephew so much! Don’t listen to your brother, it’s our job to spoil our nieces and nephews :-).

Danielle on

Kelly have a baby now that your mother sill young and can help you….

sally- It says in the post that she’s the co-host of a show called “Fashion Police”. So most likely she went on Anderson to promote her show.

That being said, I don’t get the negativity about her having a baby. Yes, she’s made some mistakes in her life, but haven’t we all? She seems to have her demons under control now, and I say if she wants to have a baby she should go for it!

Also, does anyone know if she’s with anyone right now (I know she had a boyfriend for awhile but I’m not sure whether she’s still with him)? I’m curious as to who the potential father of her baby is! :)

Wow!

They both look so good!!

Jack is really handsome, he use to be such a mess!

I became an aunt about a year and a half ago, and seeing what my brother and his wife go through daily to raise their child makes me glad that I don’t have any kids of my own.

I honestly don’t think I can handle it.

I think it’s very sweet that is she crazy about her niece. I cried my eyes out each time one of my nieces and nephews were born. Being an aunt rocks!

She looks so much better in this pic than she does with her purple hair. How can she be on Fashion Police with that purpley grey hair? Sounds like she’s growing up, didn’t even realize she was 27 now. It’s normal to start feeling that way. Hopefully she’ll wait until she meets the right guy, because raising a child by herself right now would be hard. Then it would be all to easy to pass the baby or child off to nannies that she would be able to afford.

She’s had a lot of issues in the past, and it seems like they creep up on her again sometimes. I’m happy for her that she came out of such dark times though.

On another note, wow, Jack’s fiancee looks very pretty in their magazine picture!

Sorry, but she is no where near mature enough to have a baby or even think about being a mother…poor choices, still engages in sassy word battles with other pop tarts that are juvenile, cannot dress or color her hair in any presentable manner…she just does not have what it takes yet to be a parent – only known because of her daddy (thanks sally!) – just be an aunt…

This article is incorrect. Kelly is not a first time aunt. She has five nieces/nephews from her half siblings. Ozzy has three kids from his first marriage and two of them have kids. Unless Kelly doesn’t associate with her older siblings, she is NOT a first time aunt. Do your research before you publish. It’s called good journalism.

Kelly would be a great Aunt and it is great training for parenthood. Being an Aunt is one of my favorite roles in life. My baby niece is getting married this weekend and I plan to cry a river!

Tee on

Being an aunt is a wonderful blessing, Kelly! Enjoy little Pearl and just reveal in her babyhood!

I love Kelly and Jack. They are down to earth kind hearted people. Happy to see both of them doing so well!

Marky on

I think she needs to find the right guy first, but I also think she’s more together than people give her credit for. She doesn’t put up with being bullied and that bothers any of you? Really? Far as I’m concerned, I think it’s fine to stand against bullies. There is too much of that kind of stuff going on and not enough people with the guts to say shut up!

Kelly looks great and should be congratulated for working so hard to get clean and healthy, not ridiculed.

It really is fun being an aunt! I finally became an aunt in November of this past year to my sisters sweet little boy. I watch him Monday-Friday while she works. I have two kids of my own as well, a 6 year old son and daughter who turned 2 yesterday. Even though I had my own kids when I became an aunt I still think its been a neat experience.

I dont get all the negativity towards Kelly wanting a baby. She is a woman in her late 20s and seems to have gotten her life together.

meghan on

Jack and Kelly have both done a great job of turning themselves around. It’s really nice to see.

Stephanie on

Andrea, sorry to say, but I don’t think they really consider Ozzy’s first children family. They might say they do, but they don’t. As his older son and daughter said, he treated them very badly and more or less abandoned them. He was out drugging, screwing around, left his first wife for Sharon, had a new family and didn’t give the other kids another thought. Ozzy might feel badly about it now, but it can’t be as badly as they felt. They weren’t important to him. And I don’t know how Sharon could fall in love with him if he could so easily dismiss his first children.

Hea on

I totally understand, Kelly. I don’t have nieces and nephews but some of my friends have babies and I work with little kids every day. Some just awaken that ache in my ovaries a bit extra and it’s hard to ignore. :)

Kimberly on

Awww babies are sweet, it’s a totally different think though having babies of your own!!

Selfenchanted on

Kelly shouldn’t be in any hurry to be a mom. She still needs to grow up & find herself a quality partner.

Jen on

I know this is not true for everyone, but, for some of us, holding that baby for the first time, the smell, they are like little space heaters, they just make the world go away. It truly is love.

Sally on

So Kelly O. thinks she’s ready for a baby? She still acts like a baby herself. I would pity any kid adtoped or given birth to by her. She is a nut case. The whole family is dysfunctional and trash.

Anonymous on

I think Kelly would make a great Mom.

marlowe on

such a self centered person.

meghan on

Whenever there is a new baby in the family, it ignites baby fever. It usually eases. I doubt Kelly is going to run out and get pregnant tomorrow. You are all taking her comments way too seriously.

ecl on

Does it actually make people feel better to constantly spew hate? But by far my favorite point is that she isn’t ready to be a mother because she doesn’t color her hair well. Always my standard for motherhood!

Shannon on

It’s normal to get baby fever. Then reality sets in. She gets to go out and party while Jack and his babymama will be stuck at home tying to get some rest. lol

Kayte on

If her mother’s parenting skills are Kelly’s gold standard, I truly hope she waits to have children. She has a lot more growing up/learning to do before the Osbourne family is inflicted upon another human being.

Jax&Sarah4life on

My wife throws on TLC Baby Story every morning, its become quite popular in our house. You’d think after 20 hours of labour with both kids the fever would go away. NOPE! She wants more! Gaaaahhssh!

Jax&Sarah4life on

@Jax ha ha ha I knew those baby shows would rub off on you soon enough muah muah ha ha ha ha ha

Sally – It is seriously more trashy to call people you don’t know trash.

joanie on

I love Ozzy no matter how foul mouthed he can be but jack and Kelly have blossomed into two very good adults, got to give them credit, they could have been worse…Good luck to both of you in your lives, and a baby will come for you Kelly in time….

Jillian on

I can’t believe how many of you personally know Kelly. I mean that is the only way you would be able to describe those qualities. Pretty bizarre. Do you also know each other?

After being a wife and mother, being an aunt is the next best thing!

Mary

JG, what on earth does her hair color have to do with whether or not she’ll make a good parent? So she has fun with her hair. So what? It’s not half as pathetic as the number of women who feel the need to bleach their hair blond….

mg on

Ugh…she is so gross.

b on

who the he** are any of you to say she cant have a baby? she would make a good mom
