The story about the little girl who was left in the school breaks my heart. I hope the teachers who marked the child out and failed to notice she was still there and the school officials who supposedly “swept” the building all lose their jobs. As a preschool teacher I know that my children are 100% my responsibility ALL THE TIME (it should be 50/50 with the co-teacher, but I don’t like to depend on anyone else). From the moment they enter my classroom to the moment they leave, if they’re in my care I KNOW where they are and what they’re doing. This is a preschool classroom, the teacher should be acknowledging every parent as they enter and leave the room with their child. There’s no way this child should have been marked out when she was still there. Just sad.
