Ruby, how pretty! Much better than Maxwell!! Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Jessica Simpson, in fact I happen to like her very much, just not a fan of masculine names for girls!

Liz…couldn’t agree more!!! And I just LOOOOVE the name Ruby…might even have one of my own some day 😉

But the names Ruby and West just don’t seem to go together…Ruby is an adorable name! West…not so much…

Sorry never heard of Marley before, but I adore the name Ruby! So nice and old-fashioned (and the name of my favorite aunt who was born in 1927).

Ooooh, if you don’t know Marley you have to check her out in Sugar & Spice (with Marla Sokoloff, funnily enough). That’s my favorite role of hers. She was in Scream last year too.

I love the name Ruby – nice choice.

My sister had a baby two weeks ago and named her Ruby!

So many birth announcements! My favorite role of Marley was in Eleventh Hour with Rufus Sewell – she was awesome as an FBI agent. Congratulations to her, Beau and West on the birth of little Ruby.

I too agree that Ruby and West don’t seem like they flow too well. But it’s a lovely name. Congrats to them!

Sorry – as hard as I try to like their first daughter’s name West I just cant – especially for a girl. West Flynn – I dont know about that one but Ruby is an adorable one. Just glad she didnt call the second one East or North or South.

Ruby is a lovely name and it’s gaining popularity again. I like the names she’s chosen for her kids 🙂

LOVE the name Ruby, one I had on my list for my own daughter (Hubby didn’t like it though 😦 )

Not a huge fan of the name West, but she is not my daughter and I have definitely heard worse!!

Congrats to Marley, Beau, and West on the birth of little Ruby!! And Welcome to the world little miss Ruby Jeanne 🙂

Why do the siblings names have to flow together? Is there a rule I don’t know about? Love both names. Congrats to them all!

Kelli, there’s a law on that, didn’t you know 😉

That said, as a former nanny and kindergarten teacher I have to say, names that sort of flow together make things easier when you have to call both kids at the same time, however, I can definitely imagine yelling “Ruby, West, get down here NOW!”

Yay for Jeanne—-it’s my middle name too :–)

I like the name Ruby Jeanne, much nicer than the elder daughters name West.

what a sweet and old-fashioned name! with all the crazy handles today’s kids are being saddled with, I love it when parents return to the traditional. yaay for the parents!

I think Ruby and West flow. West and Ruby. Reminds me of Max and Ruby, Ruby and Max…that kids show lol.

Both names are very classic and elegant. Not too childish and cutesy. Something they can grow into. I can see them with those names at 80 years old. I cringe when I think of 80 year old Tyler, McKenna, Camden, Cayden, McKenzie, Cameron, Tanner, etc…

Congrats to them on the new family member! Welcome to the world, baby Ruby!

Ruby Jeanne? Wasn’t she Randy Quaid’s daughter in the Nat’l Lampoon VK movies? 🙂

I love the name West. If we ever have another son, his name will be Weston James. It’s not something you hear everyday, yet it’s not over the top crazy!I also like Ruby. Congrats to her for thinking outside of the box.
