Mommy Must-Have: Kristin Cavallari’s Tribal Maxi

Make way for Kristin Cavallari (and her dog!).

While out for a walk with her pup Bardot on March 23 in Beverly Hills, the expectant reality star looked relaxed and chic in a colorful maxi.

And although the mom-to-be often hits the red carpet in designer gowns, it turns out this pretty frock is super affordable.

Available at Kmart, it’s Attention Women‘s Tribal Maxi Dress ($21), which features a beautiful print and comfy silhouette.

With such an eclectic mix of maternity pieces, we can’t wait to see what else Cavallari dons during her pregnancy.

Well, it is a super cute casual dress that looks quite comfy for pregnant women to wear in the summer. At $21 it’s also reasonable as most people don’t get to reuse their pregnancy clothes much (unless you have more kids that happen to be born during the same season). I don’t get why there are nothing but negative comments on a story about a cute and affordable dress for pregnant women and where to buy it.

I don’t understand the maxi dress trend. I hate them. If I’m going to go to the trouble of wearing a dress I want my legs exposed! I feel like wearing a maxi dress would be like putting on a circus tent.

That would suggest a story written really badly. And affordable? Yes. Cute? No way. This dress is ugly.

Dash- The trouble of putting on a dress? What trouble is there? Maxi dresses may not be for everyone, but they’re just meant to be a casual, soft knit dress. If you get the right size, they CAN be flattering. The one pictured here is rather lovely, I think.

Like Ann, I am getting kind of tired of all the “must have” articles. On the other hand, it’s nice to see a “must have” that normal, everyday people can actually afford! Truth be told, I about fell out the chair when I saw this site advertising an affordable dress!

Dash, you would hate the way I dress everyday! As an old order Mennonite, my clothes are long skirts, dresses or jumpers, black tights, black shoes, a prayer kapp and no make up or jewelry. I never wear pants or shorts and my legs are never exposed!

Note: I have no problem with KMart and I think the dress is cute. I was assuming that Miss Cavalari is too much of a snob to shop there.

It is cute on her. I just get nervous with maxi dresses on pregnant women. If it were me I would have ended up flat on my belly from falling every time!!! I have zero grace!

Dash, I on the other hand have no trouble wearing dresses, in fact I wear them more often than I wear trousers (I actually own more dresses than I own trousers).
