LOL. I have plenty of “burning” questions… but none of them involve children’s clothing. What a vapid society we live in where people are “dying” to know what brands a 6 year old is wearing.

The whole trend of parents encouraging their children to be mini-fashionistas is disturbing. Is this really what we want to be teaching the next generation? The photo above with the kids wearing fashion sunglasses and vamping for the camera is ridiculous. No wonder our country is going down the tubes… we are raising children who are focused on image, ego, and clothes. All style, no substance.

JRW… I like seeing cute babies. But this trend of parents using their children as walking billboards for fashion brands is gross. There are so many things to teach your children other than focusing on looking cool at 6 years old.

I cringe when I see pics of celebrities kids with ridiculous names, dyed hair and “grown up” clothing. Can’t we just let kids be KIDS?!

Who in the heck is dying to know what Suri is wearing? I kinda want to meet you.

I like dressing my boys nicely, but I dress them as children. I understand that the day will come when it’s all about the brand, but for crying out loud, let it be when they are at least in junior high, not preschool!

JRW, some of us probably still come around this site hoping it will one day return to its roots – a blog about celebrity babies… not a forum for advertising overpriced baby products.

cannat – well said. the kicker is that a large portion of this advertising is done by stealth — they use a photo (sometimes stale-dated)of a celeb wearing/using the products and present it as an article about that celeb.
