It’s a girl for Eric DaneΒ and Rebecca Gayheart!

“Rebecca and Eric welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Wednesday, Dec. 28, just in time for the New Year,” their rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“Both Mom and baby girl are happy and healthy, Billie is thrilled to be a big sister, and Dad is getting ready to live in a house full of ladies!”

Gayheart, 40, andΒ Grey’s AnatomyΒ star Dane, 39, are already parents to daughterΒ Billie Beatrice, 21 months.

In August, an expectant Gayheart shared some details about her more relaxed second pregnancy.

“What’s made it different is that I’m very focused on Billie … so I’m not very focused on [the pregnancy]. I’m not as neurotic,” she told PEOPLE.

She also confessed to readying herself for the obstacles that awaited the couple as they prepared to parent two kids under the age of 2.

“I’ve heard that’s very challenging. But I think I’m up for it,” she said. “Eventually it’s going to be great because they’re going to be very close in age and very close, hopefully.”

The pair announced the pregnancy in July.

Cute name! I like it even better than Billie. πŸ™‚

Brooklyn on

Congrats to them. I like the name Georgia! (At least better than Billie anyways!)

klutzy_girl on

Congratulations to them! I love the baby’s name. I love that the name is alliterative, just like Billie’s!

Billie and Georgia go really well together, too.

Congrats to Rebecca and Eric! Love the name!

Corrie on

Not crazy about Geraldine, but I love the name Georgia. Congratulations!

Harley on

Aw, congratulations to the very happy little family!

Liz on

Congratulations. Cute name, it goes well with Billie.

While I am not a fan on Geraldine, I really like Georgia. I think Georgie would be a lovely nickname, and it goes well with Billie.

Catca on

Congrats on the new addition!

Billie Beatrice is such a pretty little girl – looks alot like her daddy! Is it just me or does she look really tall???

Cass on

Yay. Just love him and rebecca πŸ™‚

I love the name Georgia πŸ™‚ it’s my 9 week old daughters name too πŸ™‚

Congrats to Eric, Rebecca and Billie πŸ™‚

Congrats to them! Can’t wait to see picture of Georgia!

Georgia is a sweet name. With gorgeous parents and a beautiful sister, I’m sure Georgia will be a looker as well!!

Tee on

Another daughter! Congratulations to Rebecca, Eric and Billie!

Janna on

Such a sweet name, and a sweet family.

Silly Mama on

I’m not sure how much this had to do with it but the role that I remember Rebecca for most is the mentor to a grim reaper named Georgia (George for short) on Dead Like Me! I LOVED that show and am kind of impressed that they went with a name like that! If they have another little girl and name her Regina and call her Reggie for short, the circle will be complete.

Brooke on

I LOVE the name Georgia Geraldine…Perfect!

torgster on

Catca I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it’s just the angle of the photo. If not she’s sure got legs to walk the runway – – she’s a gorgeous little thing already so I could see her being a model someday!

I find Georgia a really pretty name. Billie on the other hand, I really don’t like as a name.

Lau on

Congrats to them!

I like Georgia Geraldine, but personally don’t think it flows as well as Billie Beatrice, which is one of my favourite celeb baby names out there πŸ˜‰

Jorja on

All the name except Beatrice have a mans name in them.

Billie itself is a horrible name, especially for a girl. It reminds me of a goat. And would you name your son Isabella?? NO! Maybe I would forgive Billie-Jean Beatrice or Beatrice Billie.

Georgia is a nice name…very old fashioned. Geraldine isnt my cup of tea but its only a middle name.

Evie on

Still trying to decide which name is worse- Billie Beatrice or Georgia Geraldine. The first names are… ok; but the middle names are horrendous! Especially Geraldine!

ForeverMoore on

I’m a new mom of two under 2 (my son Bennett was born December 1!)…it’s so awesome to see my 18 month old with his new baby brother…a lot of work, yes, but aren’t all kids no matter how far apart in age? Congrats to them!

stacey on

This lady has the worst taste in names. I cannot think of any name worse for a girl than billie.

Sam & Freya’s Mum on

Far nicer name than Billie on a girl! Congrats to them – nice start to the New Year!

J on

Grow up Evie and Jorja.

Wow, I didn’t know there was so much hate on the name Billie! I mean, I don’t mind, it’s everyone’s personal opinion, but I happen to think it’s such a gorgeous name for a girl… I wouldn’t have imagined anyone not liking it!

kiki on

GG=Georgia Geraldine

BB= Billie Beatrice

Think they did that on purpose? Not my taste in names, but they’re not my kids.

Hi on

stacey – I’m pretty sure Eric picked Billie’s name, not Rebecca. She’s named after his dad or something. And I can think of worse girl names (for example Grizelda, Lucretia, or John).

Lori on

Geraldine is an old fashioned name. And my moms name! It is sweet they look for the old names and not crazy names like most stars use these days.

meghan on

stacy, Billie and Georgia have a father, who probably had a vote in what these girls were named. Billie is a cute name, Georgia is beautiful and Beatrice and Geraldine are classic.

k on

My grandmother’s name is Billie so I think it’s a cute name.

Bancie1031 on

Congratulations To Eric, Rebecca and Billie πŸ™‚ Cute name ….

Actually, Billie (for girls, I mean) started out as a nickname for Wilhelmina, which last time I checked was a girl’s name!

angel on

Beautiful name for what I am sure will be a beautiful child. Check out the song Geraldine by Glasvegas. It is an awesome song for a classic name.

Sophia on

I thought they would have another little girl! Congratulations to Rebecca, Eric and of course big sister Billie! Georgia is my best friend’s name and one of my favourites too, and sounds so sweet with Billie πŸ™‚

Hmm on

Congratulations to them. Not sure they said bub’s full name out loud too many times, though… Georgia Geraldine Dane. Go on, say it to yourself. Am I the only one who finds it really clunky? Georgia Dane is quite a pretty name, but add that middle into the mix and it spoils the whole thing.

Lyl on

I love the name Geraldine, it is classy and has the feeling of England during 20s :). This time they picked such a cute name, Georgia, GG, Georgie, it sounds nice :). Congratulation to all of them, what a nice late Xmas present

JMO on

Georgia is cute. Goes well with Billie especially if they call her Georgy/Georgie.

I am not a fan of Billie but I mean there was Billie Holiday!

I also know a Geraldine but she goes by Geri and she’s in her 60’s. The names could be worse.

Cass on

How many people walk around and introduce themselves with their middle name. I’m sure little Georgia, when she’s an adult, is not going to walk up and introduce herself as Georgia Geraldine Dane. It’s a really cute name.

I don’t walk around and when I meet new people say, “hi, my name is Cassandra Ashley Rose”

Both Billie and Georgia are gorgeous names. Clearly Eric and Rebecca have the same taste in names as my husband and I as we named our daughters Billie Brooklyn and Georgia Grace and they are almost exactly the same age as the Dane girls πŸ™‚

Cass on

P.S. All they need now is a son called Jackson Joseph and we really will be in sync πŸ™‚ lol

Ashley on

UGH, horrendous names for both girls. Oh well, to each their own! ;–)

Susan Albert on

Congrats to the family. Not to crazy about the names, but at least they are normal.

Momof3girls on

Congrats to the family!!!! My name is Georgia, I was named after my Mother who was named after her Father George…everyone called her Georgie…I never really liked my name but it’s nice to see that other people do and that some are actually naming their children Georgia!!! πŸ™‚

queenofhearts on

Congratulations Rebecca, Eric & Billie!!

Personally I LOVE the names and think it’s cute that they can go by BiBi & GiGi!!! Very cute!!

Liesl on

Congrats to Eric and Rebecca πŸ™‚

I bet Georgia Geraldine will be just adorable like her sister, Billie Beatrice, when she grows up !!!! ❀

I personally LOVE the names Georgia and Billie, and I love their middle names more than their first names.

Good Luck Eric and Rebecca ❀

Becky on

Congratulations to them both. Billie is a beautiful little girl. Altough #Cstca, I agree with you , she looks tall for her age. My 2 year old great niece is a little over 3′ tall. She is ccnsidered tall for her age. Welcome Georgia.

samantha on

WOW! Congrats Rebecca πŸ™‚

Ali on

I love the name Georgia!!! It was one of my choices for names for my two daughters but my husband vetoed it!! 😦

I think Billie is a cute name too. I love unisex names though (which is weird to some people) that could go either way for girls. I think it’s a fun idea.

Plus, all those complaining against the middle names need to just relax…I rarely meet someone who introduces me with both their first and middle name. Those names probably have meaning to Eric or Rebecca and that is why they chose them. It’s no big deal!

How cute that McSteamy has a house full of girls! I remember seeing him a couple months back on TMZ and he was asked if he knew what sex the baby was (Georgia) and he said, “With my luck…I think it’s a girl.” which I didn’t quite like. As if having girls is some sort of curse…but, I still think he seems like a normal guy. They all seem to want boys and it doesn’t always turn out that way πŸ™‚

Cathleen on

Billie is so cute! Her hair is so lovely! I like that their choices of names are not too common but aren’t as awful as some other celebrity childrens’ names. Personally, I love the middle name Geraldine, it’s my sister-in-law’s name and she’s 24. I live in Ireland, so names are a bit different here, but it sounds fine to me.

AceofSpades123 on

The reason names like Beatrice and Geraldine are from the past is because they need to stay there… Even if they’re family names or something…come on. I guess I can appreciate that they didn’t go with fruit labels or weird nouns as names like “Apple” or “Cloud”, but seriously they had to go the other extreme: hideous??? This is almost as bad as “Ima” and “Ura” Hogg.

Ugh….add another bad name choice to the celebrity list; it’s getting long…
