Mindy McCready Expecting Twins

The family news continues for Mindy McCready.

On the same day she insisted that, despite reports, she did not kidnap her 5-year-old son Zander, a rep for the troubled country singer confirms to PEOPLE that McCready, 36, is in her third trimester with twins.

McCready’s spokesperson did not comment on the father of the twins-to-be, but the singer reportedly confirmed to the New York Daily News that the dad is David Wilson, her music producer boyfriend of two years.

Police say that McCready and her son disappeared after she picked him up from her father’s house in Cape Coral, Fla., on Tuesday.

A happy Jessica Simpson steps out in shades and a short fur coat as she proudly touches her growing baby bump at Barneys on Monday in N.Y.C.

The expectant singer, 31, is making the press rounds as she promotes her new line of clothing for girls.

“I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person,” Simpson told PEOPLE recently.

“But I put salt all over it, so I don’t know if it’s that healthy. I crave anything salty and sweet. That mixture to me is so good.”

Katie Finneran: Shooting Pilot Six Weeks After Baby Was ‘Hard’

Katie Finneran had just welcomed son Ty when she landed the role of Nikki Miller on I Hate My Teenage Daughter, and the transition to working mom proved harder than expected.

“I auditioned for the pilot practically while I was still in the hospital,” the actress, 39, tells PEOPLE.

“My baby was 6-weeks-old when we arrived in Los Angeles to rehearse and shoot the pilot. It was so hard. I couldn’t remember my lines.”

Luckily for Finneran, costar Jaime Pressly, who is mom to 4-year-old son Dezi James, had been in her shoes before. “Jaime was so wonderful,” she says.

Katherine Heigl and daughter Naleigh, 3, get the giggles Monday after lunch with Grandma Heigl at Figaro Bistrot in Los Angeles, Calif.

“She’s really chatty now, and she gets this little attitude — not a bad attitude, but a very grown up, saucy attitude that blows my mind because I don’t even know where she’s picking it up from,” says the actress, before admitting with a laugh, “Unless it’s from me, which would just be upsetting.”

Naleigh is the only child for Heigl, 33, and husband Josh Kelley.
