Katherine Heigl: ‘Girly Girl’ Naleigh Loves Stilettos

Katherine Heigl‘s daughter Naleigh may be adopted, but the toddler is proving that when it comes to fashion, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

“She’s a total girly girl,” Heigl, 32, told PEOPLE at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute event in Beverly Hills Monday.

“I had my stylist over and we were working on the outfit for tonight, and she had a slew of beautiful shoes and jewelry and clothes. Naleigh Moon loves all that stuff — she put on these crazy stilettos.”

“She’s [almost] three years old and her foot’s this big,” Heigl marveled. “But she could clomp around in these stilettos I think are impossible to walk in.”

Mariska Hargitay ‘In Shock’ About Son’s Adoption

After unexpectedly welcoming son Andrew Nicolas, Mariska Hargitay encountered a problem — she had no baby clothes for a boy.

“It was so hilarious. My godson was born eight months ago and I gave all of [5-year-old son] August‘s things to them,” she tells PEOPLE with a laugh. “We came home with our baby and almost nothing. Friends are coming over with onesies.”

As the process to adopt 6-month-old daughter Amaya took a year, the Law & Order: SVU star, 47, and husband Peter Hermann figured they’d get a head start on a third child, and filed again over the summer.

The couple — already fully vetted by their agency after their prior adoption — were shocked to find their application chosen just days later.

Spotted: Reese Witherspoon and Ava – Good Genes

Love her funky purple frames!

A beaming Reese Witherspoon stays in step with her look-alike daughter, 12-year-old Ava Elizabeth, after picking her up from school Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Glad to see that the actress, 35, is recovered from her black eye and cut forehead after being hit by a car while jogging last month.

On Monday, Witherspoon appeared at Elle magazine’s annual Women in Hollywood event, where she honored pal Jennifer Aniston with an award for her achievement in film.

She and ex-husband Ryan Phillippe are also parents to son Deacon, 8 this week.

Michelle Obama: I ‘Confiscate’ the Halloween Candy

With Halloween less than two weeks away, kids country-wide will soon be satisfying their sweet teeth with bags full of candy.

Among them? Michelle Obama‘s daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10.

“I don’t want them to worry about how much candy they eat on Halloween,” the First Lady said during a roundtable discussion held Tuesday at the White House.

However, the “Let’s Move” project founder ensures that the collection of candy doesn’t quickly turn into a free-for-all for her girls.

“I let them hang out with that bag maybe a day or two, and then I confiscate it,” she explains.
