Baby On the Way for Jared Padalecki

The shape of his family is shifting - Jared Padalecki is going to be a dad.

The Supernatural actor, 29, and wife Genevieve Cortese will welcome their first child next year, Padalecki confirms via Twitter.

“OK yall I’d rather you officially hear it from me … So, yes. Genevieve is pregnant. We’ll be welcoming a new member to our family in 2012,” he writes, ending the message with a smiley face.

Padalecki, who also played Dean on Gilmore Girls, wed former Supernatural costar Cortese, 30, in February 2010 in Sun Valley, Idaho.

What a gorgeous baby they will have! Congrats to them both. From everything I have ever seen about Jared as a person [which is an embarrassing amount, actually, via UTube clips of interviews, conventions, etc] he seems like a very gently, sweet guy. He will be a great dad! And she must be a saint to put up with the crazy fangirls. So good luck to them both! I am personally SO excited for the baby! It isn’t the first Supernatural baby (Jim Beaver aka Bobby and Misha Collins aka Castiel both have children) but it’s the first for the “brothers”

Instead of baby gifts, the happy couple have requested that the fans donate money to St. Jude. The original goal was $10,000 and it has now been raised to $20,000 since the fans have already donated (as of now) $8,194! You can also donate items on the list, if you don’t wish to donate money.

Yikes. Not sure why anyone would think incest (fan fiction or otherwise) would be fun to do in your past time but more power to you. I can only imagine what Jensen and Jared think when some of their fans tell them what you just told me…lol! :-p

I got a kick out of the episode of Supernatural when Sam and Dean discuss the creepy fanfic when they find out Chuck and others have been writing about them and Dean says, “Oh now that’s just sick!” regarding the incest stories.
