Spencer Grammer didn’t have to wait long!

The Greek actress welcomed son Emmett Emmanual on Monday, Oct. 10, just two days past her due date, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

“Mother and son are doing wonderfully!” says the rep, who adds that baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz.

This is the first child for Grammer, who turned 28 Sunday, and husband James Hesketh, as well as the first grandchild for Boss star Kelsey Grammer.

Emm…

Jennifer on

Let’s just hope that this kid doesn’t grow up to learn to treat women like trash the way his Grandpa does.

elisabeth on

jennifer- or marry trash like his grandpa does

Tracy on

umm his Kelsey’s wife the same age as his daughter? NASTTYYYY. If I was Spencer I would be ashamed to have a father like Kelsey

Lina on

Don’t judge her by her dad, she dosen’t control him. At least she picked a nice name (unlike Tori Spelling – Hattie – really??). Its good to hear everyone is healthy & happy.

Louise on

Unfortunately we don’t pick our parents or control their behavior. I think Spencer is probably very happy she has had a healthy baby boy and that everything went well in her delivery.

Kristy on

Congrats to Spencer and her husband! Loved her on “Greek”. I bet she’ll make a great mom.

mg on

Congrats Emmett…you have a gross grandpa and a skank step-grandma. Ugh.

t. on

Not loving the double “Emm” names

LM on

It’s funny, she’s so pretty but looks just like her dad who isn’t attractive at all.

Janna on

I agree. *Her* birth announcement is not the place to talk about her father’s transgressions.

She seems like a sweet woman. All the best to her new expanded family.

Ashley on

Yay for Spencer. I loved her on Greek, she is precious. Best wishes to her and her sweet little family.

Xilah on

Congrats !!

MariaP on

Loved her on Greek. She and Cappie were perfect couple for me.

Congrats for the baby. I like the name. Maybe Emmanuel Emmet like combination more but it’s great like this also

Michelle on

EEH…sounds like an afterthought!

elizabetholwigphotography on

Congrats! I really like the name.

Pamela on

She’s not to blame for her father’s actions. And, after all Kelsey Grammer when through early in life, meh.

Emmett is a really nice name though! I like :-)

LoveCrazyBeautifulLife on

I like Emmett

Sandie on

I love the name! But I’m bias, my little guy’s name is Emmett, too!

Stella Bella on

Love the name. My daughter’s middle name is Emmanuelle, so not a surprise that I like her taste!

Allison on

She is gorgeous, I bet her son is an adorable baby.

Asha on

The baby has the same birthday as me! 10/10!

Marky on

Asha, my bday, too!

Maggie on

a nice normal name!! congrats to mom and baby! I LOVED Spencer on Greek, can’t believe that Casey Cartwright is now a mommy!!

Amy on

Janna- actually this is not a birth announcement, it’s a article on the birth of Spencer’s son. I’m sure she’ll be sending out birth announcements herself.

It’s a comment section and people have the right to say what they want to, even the bad which is also sadly true in her father’s case.

Mae on

It kind of bothers me that the front page headline for this article is “Kelsey Grammer Welcomes First Grandchild.” It’s Spencer’s baby, her name should be in the title. I love Spencer and Greer Grammer :)

Amy Hale on

Why would anyone dignify Kelsey Grammer? He has to be the WORST father ever. He left his wife and children for some tart young enough to be his daughter. I can’t stand the man.

sara on

Emmett is ok but I dislike the spelling Emmanual. It makes me think of the word “manual”. Emmanuel would’ve been better imo.
Congrats!

Cécile on

Maybe the fact that english isn’t my first language is to blame here but Emmett Hesketh seems a little bit of a tongue twister.

Anyway,congratulations to the family.

J on

Oh good Lord Amy, it’s an article announcing the baby.

And Janna has a point, pepolec an say what they want but it’s ashame that people are focusing more on Kelsey then a new mom and her baby.

Jana on

Congratulations to Spencer!

Reese on

This announcement is about Spencer, her husband, and their newborn son. Kelsey’s personal life is irrelevant.

Sam & Freya's Mum on

What a mouthful. Way too many ‘Emm’s going on, IMO and don’t really like either of his names. More a fan of shorter names myself. Could’ve gone for a middle name that wasn’t so similar to his first! Oh well, not my kid, we’re all have different taste, and they won’t care of course! Having said that, congrats on his safe arrival…!

Michele on

@Mae – Where in the title of the article does it say “Kelsey Grammer Welcomes First Grandchild”? The title of the article is “Spencer Grammer Welcomes Son Emmett Emmanual”.

Crimpe on

Sounds like she couldn’t choose a first name and went with both. I’m also a bit thrown by the spelling of Emmanual, but hey, whatev. She is very pretty.

Amanda on

I LOVE Spencer and am so glad for her news on Emmett!!!!
