Will Arnett Explains Onscreen Life to Archie

Will Arnett has some explaining to do!
After the actor’s eldest son saw an Up All Night promotional poster featuring his father posing with his onscreen child, Archie, who turns 3 this month, was full of questions.
“I’m lying on my stomach, the baby is sitting on my back and I’ve got crayon on my face,” Arnett, 41, shared during a Wednesday visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
“[Archie] said, ‘That’s Dada’s brother?’ And I said, ‘No, no, that’s Dada.’ And he said, ‘That’s Dada’s baby?’ And I said, ‘No, no.’”
Once Archie understood the difference, he made sure to clarify anyone’s confusion!
“He was explaining it to somebody else and he said, ‘Dada’s pretend baby put crayon on his face by accident,’ which is kind of sweet.”
However, while Arnett — who is also dad to 14-month-old son Abel with wife Amy Poehler — tries his best to include his boys, he admits the situation is still hard.
“When you have to say, ‘You have to go home now,’ and then he sees me working with another kid … it’s frustrating,” he shares, joking he is “in the process of scarring his children.”
As for Christina Applegate, who plays Arnett’s onscreen wife, Archie has her role all figured out.
“We were at the mall and, outside the Victoria’s Secret, he saw this poster of a model and he said, ‘Christina!’” Arnett laughs. ”So he thinks she’s a Victoria’s Secret model. A lot of women might say that’s sexist, but all women like it.”
