Just call her a bargain buyer!
When it comes to stocking her wardrobe, mom Christina Milian is all about easy-to-wear, affordable fashion.
“It’s not always about the price or designer label,” the singer, 30, said during Pampers‘ Play-a-Palooza party at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City on Sept. 21.
“People always assume that I shop at these high-end stores and only wear designers, and that’s not true. My daughter [Violet Madison] comes first, always! So most of my money is spent on her.”
Still, Milian stresses, a new mom deserves to splurge every now and then.
“Christian Louboutin‘s — they just make you feel young, sexy, and confident all over again. And you deserve it after nine months!” she says of her mommy must-haves. “[And Raven Denim] are great for your self-esteem … keeps the men looking!”
Milian has regained her fab figure since giving birth and credits much of her initial weightloss to breastfeeding her baby girl. “In the beginning I didn’t do anything but that. I nursed Violet for 11 months and lost a lot of weight that way,” she shares, adding she would recomment Medela‘s Breast Pump to “any working mom.”

Eventually transitioning Violet over to Medela’s bottles — her “favorite bottle thus far!” — Milian was determined to instill healthy eating habits in her daughter.
“[I love Beaba's Baby Food Maker] because it offers a great way to make healthy, organic food and to know what’s actually going into Violet’s belly,” she says.
Other favorites of the first-time mother include Johnson & Johnson Coconut Baby Oil Gel, perfect for Violet’s post-bath pampering, and the 18-month-old’s Orbit G2 Stroller, as Milian loves “the option to turn [my daughter] around and look at her while on the go.”
But, even when the best baby products just won’t do the trick, Milian turns to the one guy she can always rely on: Elmo!
“Elmo In Grouchland, the movie,” she reveals. “If all else fails, put this movie on! Your little one will be entertained for a good solid hour.”
