Emily Procter: Pippa Has Her Own Fan Following

Chelsea Lauren/WireImage

When Emily Procter and boyfriend Paul Bryan decided to name their now 9-month-old daughter Philippa Frances — a.k.a Pippa — they thought they had spared her from having a common name.

“As an Emily, anytime I’m in any sort of a giant store, I hear it 60 times and I never know if it was for me or someone else,” she tells PEOPLE.

“We were thinking it would be really nice for her to have a name that’s not everywhere. When Pippa Middleton showed up, we realized we maybe picked a name that is more everywhere than Emily all of a sudden.”

And much like her famous namesake, Pippa, who was born in December 2010, has developed a fan following of her own: mom’s coworkers on the set of CSI: Miami. Read More

Jill Kargman Tackles Boys vs. Girls with First Children’s Book

Courtesy Penguin Group

As the author of a slew of successful adult novels and the memoir Sometimes I Feel Like a Nut, Jill Kargman happened into her first children’s book through an awkward encounter with her then 5-year-old daughter’s teachers.

“The teachers called me in one day and they said Sadie said the F-word in school,” she tells PEOPLE. “I said, ‘What happened?’ And they said, ‘Well this little boy Charlie told her her dress was hideous, and she told him to f- off.’”

Sadie’s teachers went on to explain that she had become a leader for the girls in her preschool class, whom she termed the princesses, while Charlie led the boys, the pirates.

Ana Ortiz Welcomes Son Rafael

Dr. Billy Ingram/WireImage

It’s a boy for Ana Ortiz!

The former Ugly Betty star, 40, and her husband Noah Lebenzon welcomed their second child, son Rafael, on Saturday, Sept. 27, Latina confirms.

The baby weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and measured 20 inches long, but his parents have not yet decided on a middle name.

But this should come as no surprise. Early in the pregnancy, Ortiz — who will appear on Hung this season – revealed she and Lebenzon were having trouble agreeing on a name.

“It has to be Spanish, but something non-speakers can pronounce without mauling,” she said.

Ortiz and Lebenzon are already parents to daughter Paloma Louise, 2.

Jennifer Garner: ‘It Would Be So Weird to Have a Boy’

Raised with two sisters, Jennifer Garner would love for her daughters to have the same experience.

“Three girls is a great way to grow up,” the pregnant actress, 39, says during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing on Tuesday. “I’m one of three girls and my little sister is awesome, so I just want a Suzanna.”

Even though Garner says “it would be so weird to have a boy,” she also says the experience would be “cool and different.”

But Garner also takes hubby Ben Affleck, 39, into consideration, acknowledging that it would be “fun” for him to have a boy because “he likes baseball and all that stuff.”

Sara Ramirez Hearing the Tick Tock of Her Biological Clock

Jason Merritt/Getty

Following her recent engagement, Sara Ramirez may be ready for marriage, but the baby carriage is on hold — for now.

“I’m not expressing anything negative or positive about it necessarily,” the Grey’s Anatomy star tells Latina of having children.

“I’m thinking about it, and I’m really taking it very seriously, because I feel that when you bring a child into the world, it’s a very, very big responsibility.”

After turning 36 last month, the age factor only adds to the pressure for the actress, who knows time is no longer on her side.

Shannon Miller: I Was Afraid to Be Bald In Front of Rocco

D Dipasupil/FilmMagic

When Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shannon Miller underwent chemotherapy earlier this year, her biggest fear wasn’t about her own prognosis.

It was that her son Rocco might be afraid when she lost her hair.

“For me, the toughest part was facing my son, Rocco,” Miller, 34, tells PEOPLE.

“He was 15 months old at the time that I was going through my treatment. He has lots of hair. And I wasn’t sure if he was going to be scared of Mommy being bald.”

The Olympian, who underwent treatment after a malignant cyst was removed from her ovary, spoke with PEOPLE at the annual DreamBall in N.Y.C. Thursday.
