How does the busy mother of three and star of I Don’t Know How She Does It cope when life gets crazy?
“I talk to myself. Constantly,” Sarah Jessica Parker tells PEOPLE Monday at the film’s premiere in New York.
“Both my babysitter and I talk to ourselves, and we’re constantly apologizing for it.”
Like her character in the film, the unassuming actress doesn’t really stop to consider how she manages it all: “There are millions and millions of women in this country that do it far better than I do with far less resources and far less support.”
“Frankly, I think women are accustomed to doing a lot,” Parker, 46, continues. “We can talk on the phone and tie a shoe and pack a lunch and change a diaper.”

It’s a family day out in New York City for Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos and their three children — Michael Joseph, 14, Lola Grace, 10, and Joaquin Antonio, 8½.
“I always tell my kids — you don’t have to be the best at sports, the smartest, the best at math, but you do have to have the best manners,” the Live! host, 40, explains.
“I don’t tolerate piggish behavior in kids, and mine have learned the hard way.”

Due in January with her first child — a delivery surprise! — Sarah Drew makes a statement in a pretty print Saturday at Britax and Buick’s The Red CARpet Safety Event presented by SpokesMoms, held at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
“The minute you get pregnant everybody comes out of the woodwork and has their ideas coming at you,” the expectant Grey’s Anatomy star, 30, told PEOPLE recently.
“It’s so great because I feel like I don’t have to read any books!”

New mom Christina Applegate has taken a backseat to baby — and she couldn’t be happier.
“We’ve been self-obsessed for a long time. I had my baby at … 39!” the actress tells USA Today. “Thirty-nine years of doing whatever I wanted to do. Getting up when I wanted to get up. Going where I wanted to go. Completely self-involved.”
However, things have undoubtedly changed since Applegate and her fiancé Martyn Lenoble welcomed 7-month-old daughter Sadie Grace.
And while the adjustment has been “easy” for the Up All Night star, she admits she has had to make a few sacrifices along the way for her baby girl’s sake.

Baby’s first fashion week!
