Josh Gad Jokes: I ‘Became a Deadbeat Father’ After Ava’s Birth

Josh Gad is a new dad — and he’s not afraid to admit he hasn’t exactly been completely present since the birth of now 7-month-old Ava Tanya.

“It’s very interesting. A month before … I had to move to New York [from Los Angeles], we had the baby,” the star of Broadway smash The Book of Mormon, 30, revealed Tuesday on The Gayle King Show.

“It was really nice because I became a deadbeat father and left my family behind to go get laughs.”

Despite the distance, the Love and Other Drugs actor has already won over his baby girl — whom he calls “mooshki” because “it’s kind of like munchkin, but she’s even cuter” — with his musical talent.

Now more than ever, life is imitating art for Jessica Alba.

Already mom to 3-year-old daughter Honor Marie, the actress — who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren next month — admits her latest role in Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World wasn’t a stretch in the least.

“I don’t know if I would have even done this movie if I weren’t a parent,” Alba, 30, told reporters during a Saturday press event for the film. ”So I actually brought my real-life experience to work, for sure.”

However, while she finds herself widening her horizons on the big screen, Alba is more focused on finding the right project to suits her — and her growing family.

Adriana Lima and daughter Valentina wave to husband Marko Jarić, who was waiting onshore, as they take a dip Sunday in Florida.

The 20-month-old is the only child for the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 30, and her basketball player husband, 32.

“I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to lose the baby weight,” Lima, has said.

“To find time to go to the gym with sleepless nights is not easy — trust me. Every time Valentina would take a nap, I would go to the gym. So 50 pounds later, I’m here!”
