Back-to-school season is upon us and although it’s an exciting time, it’s not so easy on the wallet.
But with a little careful planning, you can stretch your dollars and ease the financial pain of school supplies shopping.
So whether you child is heading to his first day of Kindergarten or first day of college, here are some helpful tips from The Krazy Coupon Ladies (Heather Wheeler and Joanie Demer, left) to consider before hitting the stores
Start early. If you haven’t already, try to get your child’s school supply list from the school. Or compile your own list of items (backpack, notebooks, pencils, pens, etc.) you think your kid will need right away versus items (calculator, text book covers, Spanish dictionary, winter coat) that can wait till later in the school year.

One month after welcoming daughter Arabella Rose, fashion designer Ivanka Trump showed off her amazing post-baby figure while visiting the Today Show on Aug. 18.
The new mom glowed in a blue jersey swing dress, cream bag and pink open-toe heels.
So what is Trump enjoying most about being a new mom?
“The most fun part of being a mother so far is watching Arabella grow and experience different things every day; It is also the hardest part though!” she shared on the show.

A monkey joins Jane Krakowski in her new Trop50 commercials, but that’s not the only cuddly set visitor she’s had.
Son Bennett Robert, 4 months, was a hit during his first trip to see Mom at work, Krakowski tells PEOPLE.
“He loved it,” the 30 Rock star, 42, says. “He had a great time meeting everybody — he’s a people person.”
Bennett, who arrived in April, got his name because the moniker was “always stuck” in Krakowski and Robert Godley‘s heads after a search.
“It’s an English name on my fiancé’s side,” she explains. “We went through all the names on both sides. He came out and he looked like a Bennett! It suited him.”
