Christina Applegate Confuses Life On and Off Screen

Life has never imitated art to the extent it has now for first-time mom Christina Applegate, who is currently filming Up All Night, a new sitcom focused on the realities of parenthood.

“Sometimes you stop and go, ‘Oh my God, this is so from the pilot. Are we doing the pilot right now?’” the actress — and mom to 7-month-old daughter Sadie Grace — tells New York.

“The pilot is happening right inside my house.”

During the show, Applegate, 39, finds herself cursing in front of her child — only to notice that little ears are listening all around. The experience, she jokes, is one she knows all too well.

“I think we did that until all of a sudden your baby goes, ‘F—!’ And then you’re like, ‘Awww, s—!’”

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Expecting Third Child

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are getting ready for another baby!

The couple, who are parents to two daughters — Violet Anne, 5½, and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 2½ — are “thrilled” to be expecting their third child, they confirm to the Associated Press.

Garner and Affleck, both 39, have each spoken of being hands-on parents.

After Seraphina’s arrival, Garner said juggling acting and motherhood gave her a “split personality.”

“[I] feel like half my brain is somewhere else all the time, but when the camera’s rolling, I pull it together and focus for two minutes,” she said at the time, “and then I kind of turn back to a ditz again.”

Soleil Moon Frye: I Want To Share the ‘Messiness’ of Motherhood

After welcoming daughters Poet Sienna Rose, 6, and Jagger Joseph Blue, 3, it didn’t take long for Soleil Moon Frye to look around and realize she didn’t have all of the answers.

“I had so many questions about parenting and I was constantly turning to social media,” the Happy Chaos author, 35, told PEOPLE on Thursday during the Target-sponsored launch party for her new book in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“I found that it was this balancing act. I was always trying to find the balance between trying my best and being an incredible parent. I literally realized that it was chaos — but it was happy chaos.”

Reading through parenting books and observing a few fellow moms only strengthened Frye’s determination to share her experience raising children — both the ups and the downs.

Kimberly Stewart received a very special birthday present Sunday – her daughter.

The actress and model celebrated turning 32 by giving birth to a baby girl named Delilah in Los Angeles, PEOPLE confirms. The father is Academy Award-winning actor Benicio del Toro, 44.

Calling the arrival of his first grandchild one of the happiest days of his life, proud grandfather Rod Stewart tells PEOPLE, “My joy is indescribable.”
