Solange Knowles makes a stylish statement with son Daniel Julez, 6½, while toasting fashion icon Anna Dello Russo‘s collaboration with Macy’s INC collection on Wednesday in New York.

“At the end of the day I know that no matter how many awards or accolades or praise or money I get, the one thing that really is a judgment of me is what kind of mother I am,” Solange, 25, says.

Julez is her son with ex-husband Daniel Smith.

Oh, hush Georgina! You know what she meant!

She is a talented artist & in my opinion makes MUCH better music than her sister. I’d rather listen to Solange’s “Six O’ Clock Blues” or “Would’ve Been the One” than Beyonce’s “Video Phone” and “Diva” any day. She doesn’t get the credit she deserves, but a lot of talented artists don’t.

She may never get the mainstream praise and awards like that cookie cutter, bum-shaking for the money making sister of hers & that’s okay because like she said that isn’t what matters at the end of the day…being a great person and a great mom to her son does.

Beyonce won’t be able to take all of the awards and money that she has with her when she dies, but Solange will take all of the great memories of being a great mommy with her & that is priceless.

I agree with the previous poster. Solange is a much talented singer than Beyonce. I think it’s Beyonce’s looks that have gotten her further than Solange, unfortunately. But, Solange can really rock the mic!

Solange you are gorgeous!! I love your music and your style, I went natural about a year ago and embrace it. Keep making beautiful music and we that know what true rhythm and blues is will keep rocking out to it.. lil man is absolutely adorable!
