x17

Can you spot the baby bump? (Not much to see yet!)

All eyes are on mom-to-be Hilary Duff‘s burgeoning belly as she does a little shopping in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The singer/actress, 23, recently announced that she and husband Mike Comrie are expecting their first child.

“Wow! I am just overwhelmed by all of the wonderful messages everyone is sending! Thank you so much!” Duff Tweeted.

I’m sure it’s there somewhere but for the life of me, I don’t see anything that I would be willing to define as a “bump.” I guess this photo story will serve as a benchmark for “Then” in compared to “Now” as she progresses.

Totally miss took her for Nicole Ritchie for a second! Whoops! Sorry Joel!!

- Cortney on

Anyone heard anything about when she’s due??

- Lis on

About a month ago People had a photo of Hilary as one of the hottest “bikini bods” this summer. So I’m guessing she’s only maybe 3 months along and with this being a first pregnancy, she’s not going to show for a while…

- Shannon on

She is absolutely glowing. I saw her wearing weird clothing past couple of months and it makes sense now! hope it is ok to link, it is only jpg images.

Here is her figure in better clothing. Can’t believe People missed these shots. You can see it here. SO Adorable. It’s amazing how I grew up with her and now she is about to be a mommy.

I’m so excited for her and her husband. Can’t wait to hear the name that they’ve chosen!!

- Jana on

She’s a sweetie, but so young to be a mommy.

- Margaux on

Yeah my pregnancy buddy, I’m 22 almost 23 and have been a fan of her’s for years.

Some may say that the early 20′s may be to young to have kids but I think it depends on the people. I’ve been married for two years, have a great career, very financially stable, traveled many parts of the world, done missions and volunteered. So its not like I haven’t really lived my life to the fullest. But most importantly my husband and I feel that we are ready to start a family.

Whats with the hate comments? She is not a “baby”. I was married at 22 and had my first baby at 24. Now at 28 I’m having my third. My husband and I are financially stable and have a loving home to welcome our children to. How is she any different, other than probably being even more finacially stable than I? To each their own. She is one of the teen stars that managed to grow up normal and responsible, good for her. Thats waaaaay better than Lindsey Lohan.

- Shannon on

I don’t see any hateful comments; just a difference of opinions. That said, a person’s decision regarding when to become a parent is entirely up to them. Some are ready in their 20s while others aren’t until they are in their 30s or 40s. It’s a personal choice and no one age is better than the other.

- Cecelia on

Margaux maybe in your opinion but the average age for a women to have a baby in the US is 25… and she will be 24 when hers is born. So the ladies who have them at 35 must be REALLY old according to averages here in the USA. I say it all the time on here but I feel blessed to have had my first at 22 and second at 26.

- Holiday on

Holiday, you are lucky to have had yours young. You probably have twice as much energy than someone like me who waited until later in life – I wish we could trade places :)

- cn tower on

cn tower I do have lots of energy luckily! I stay up late and have to get up at 6 am to get my son ready for school. Plus my 15 month old still wakes up throughout the night to nurse. If I would have had my kids in my 30s or 40s I dont know if I could have kept up with them as easily.

- Holiday on

cn there is nothing at all wrong with waiting either. I just get so annoyed with all the “too young” comments on here when women choose to have kids in their early 20s.

- Holiday on

Most women who wait until their 30s and 40s are of a higher socioeconomic status. Just sayin’, statistically.

- jenner on

Jenner I totally agree with you on that. That is the case in most but not all situations. I would not have had kids so young if we could not have afforded it but I got married to someone who was set for life at a young age.

- Holiday on

I get annoyed with the “should have had a baby already” comments, when someone is of an age they deem “too old.” the parents are the ones who are responsible for making the decisions. It’s overly annoying when people think that age defines a person. It does not. People don’t know why people wait and if it’s explained, you not have to live with them or help raise their children. I have met 50 year olds with more energy than some 20 year olds. And I have met 20 year olds more responsible than 30 year olds. Age defines nothing. There is no preplanned time to have a child.

I know some on here have the perfect lives with the perfect children and the perfect family. I am so happy, I don’t have that! I love my non perfect life and wouldn’t have it any other way!

- Jillian on

I had my first at 20, I’m now 22 and trying for a second. I don’t see why I should throw my good strong healthy years away for a career that isn’t going to take off for the next 5- 10 years anyway. My children get my youth, and I get the rest. That’s how it should be. Congrats Hilary!
