Mini Must-Have: Nahla Aubry’s Mini LBD

Ramey; Courtesy GapKids

Just like mom Halle Berry, Nahla Aubry sure knows how to work an LBD.

On July 26, we spotted the 3-year-old in babyGap‘s Hanky Dress ($34.95) while out shopping with Berry in Beverly Hills.

And to make her black frock pop, the stylish tot added fun accessories including a Minnie Mouse ring,CrocsKeeley flats ($25) and adorable butterfly face paint.

Unfortunately, Nahla’s dress is no longer available. But the Smocked Ruffle Dress ($23) is equally as cute.

It’s nice to see an affordable little girl’s dress here. Although, black isn’t my first choice for a color.

- Sarah S. on

As much as I hate the “handkerchief hem,” I think this dress is adorable!

@ Sarah S: I agree, black can be a little harsh for small children. But more of a stain-hider than white! :D

- Jen DC on

Little girls should not wear black.

I’m glad I am not alone. Hate seeing little children in black, especially all black. The shoes are adorable tho!

I love black I only wear black clothes and I have a 14 months little girl and she has a lots of black clothes (I hate pink)I was so happy to find black clothes for her because I was tired to go shopping and only find pink clothes for her and my friends and family gave me a lots of pink clothes when they found out that I was having a girl. And carter’s has a black and white collection what it’s great for me.She looks great in black clothes and I always have people saying why I don’t dress her up with pink clothes because she is a girl LOL.

- Naty on

how can she dress her girl in black???? omg so tasteless

- ewa on

How on earth is a black dress tasteless? I think she looks cute. Black is a color you rarely find for kids which makes it all the more better when you can get something in black. Its a great change from bright colors and all the pinks and purples of the world.
You ladies need to get a grip, seriously.

- Niche on

Good grief, it’s not like she’s dressed her like some little goth child! It’s a pretty summer dress that just happens to be black and she’s wearing colorful shoes. Judgmental much?

- Sarah on

I’m not a fan of black dresses. I can’t help but think of Wednesday Adams. Sarah and Niche I don’t see how your opinions are anymore worthy of being voice than ours. We’re all making our own judgments you don’t have to agree but, I don’t think anyone said anything awful.

In my grandmother’s day you couldn’t even find girls dresses in black because to people of that era it was tasteless.

- Indira on

SHE IS DEFINITELY HER FATHER’S DAUGHTER.ADORABLE!

- MARGO PATTERSON on

Indira, obviously you are very ignorant to clothing. In your grandmother’s day (Which I pray is at least the 30′s-40′s) black was common for children. VERY Common, as it was an easily accessable color. Prior to that, in a lot of cultures, and for many years, it was expected that an entire family wear black for a year after the death of someone to represent mourning. Children included. Black has been *Fashionable* for children for years.

I find the dress adorable! I love putting my DD in little black clothing. Its so rare to find for really little ones, but easier as they get older.

- MommytoanE on

I see nothing wrong with black, It’s one of my favorite colors and no I am not a goth or anything like that, before any stereotyping starts. Ever since I was a young girl I’ve always liked black, it goes with just about anything, looks classic and I just like it. Of course I like other colors such as purple, blue, yellow etc..Nahla looks adorable and I don’t see anything wrong with her dress, the style and the color is cute!

- Nella on

Sorry, just don’t find her very cute at all…just my opinion

- Ashley on

Some of these comments are so off the wall, pretty little girl and if I can find that dress for my daughter I will definately get her one in red though since thats her favorite color..

Don’t feed the troll!

Mommytoane,

My grandmother was born in 1910 in EGYPT so try again. Yes, little girls wear dresses outside of America too.

- Indira on

I have pics of my great grandparents born in the 1800′s in black dresses. How were they able to find them and where them, but others were not? I have pictures of my grandmother, as well. Photos of them starting in the 1800′s. I have never heard of black dresses being tasteless during a certain era……and either does my grandmother who lived during it.

Maybe in egypt only it was tasteless…… I am curious.

- Jillian on

I think the dress is adorable. I love it with the brightly colored whimsical shoes.

- Carrie Jo on

Where is it written that a little girl should wear pink? In my opinion a little girl can wear any color her mom or dad wants to put on her and she will still be a beautiful child. A pop of color (as seen with the shoes) does high light the dress and bring attention to the shoes! Plyr h8ers, stop h8ing! If you don’t like the color on little girls, then simply don’t dress your little girl in it! We all have options right?
