Tia Mowry Hits the Red Carpet – One Month After Baby

Jill Johnson/JPI

Lauryn Hill and Mariah Carey aren’t the only celeb moms debuting fab post-baby bodies this week.

A little over a month after welcoming son Cree Taylor, a glowing Tia Mowry walked the red carpet in a shiny turquoise mini dress, grey blazer and matching heels at NBC Universal Press Tour All Star Party in Beverly Hills on Monday.

But The Game star’s chic return should come as no surprise.

Mowry, 33, told PEOPLE she felt “sexy and empowered” while expecting, even posing for a bump-revealing photo.

She’s so gosh darn cute!

- Awww on

She is so cute, and her sister is too!

- bevvie on

She should have worn Spanx :(

- Momwifedesigner on

She looks great!

- Shannon on

She looks like she needs to go pee–like every “celeb” on the red carpet these days.

- Jenner on

Contrary to what momwifedesigner has to say about Tia wearing Spanx. I think its great to see a celebrity woman a month after giving birth looking like a normal woman does. You should not be wearing spanx so soon after giving birth, your body needs to naturally go back to its shape not be pushed in just to fit in with the societal image of what celebrities look like after birth! Good on Tia, she looks amazing!

- RazzleDazzle on

I agree with Momwifedesigner… that dress makes her look like she’s 6 or 7 months pregnant :S. Other than that she looks really good, radiant even.

- Nathalie on

Can’t stand her

I LOVE that she looks like a normal person does 1 month post baby!

Beautiful!

“You should not be wearing spanx so soon after giving birth, your body needs to naturally go back to its shape not be pushed in just to fit in with the societal image of what celebrities look like..”

uhhh, says who? I personally will be wearing a Belly Bandit and hoping to achieve results similar to this..

and if I were a celeb I would absolutely be doing everything I could, knowing my pics would be up on every blog/magazine/etc for people to scrutinize.

- Anne on

Maybe she doesn’t care who scrutinizes her. Good for her.

- Terri on

I just think the dress isn’t that flattering. It is fine that she isn’t wearing spanx, but she could have chosen a better dress. I just had my first baby, and did what I could with my clothing to look as good as I could. I guess it doesn’t matter as long as she felt good.

- kjc on

I think she looks huge for just giving birth. One month after I had my first born I was at my pre prego weight, no stomach. So yeah, maybe she should have worn spanx!

- flmom on

Go Tia! She looks great!

- AllisonJ on

@RazzleDazzle. FYI…spandex after birth is actually recommended. Supposedly, it helps to get rid of tummy flab. Some hospitals are actually starting to *bind* women after birth. Perhaps some research is necessary for you?

Tia looks adorable!

- MommytoanE on

Tia looks very cute. It’s refreshing to see that she doesn’t care what anyone thinks. She doesn’t have to wear spanx to please anyone, but herself. Why do people want new mothers to look like their a size 0 after giving birth a FEW weeks ago? Give me a break!!

- Lillian on

Now thats what a woman is “supposed” to look like after just having a baby. Finally some reality n HWood.

- Adrienne on

Maybe some of you missed the memo, but it’s actually proven that binding the belly with a belly bandit or a similar item, helps to reduce the uterus size quicker, thus reducing your baby belly. It’s not really even a ‘new’ topic either, I remember reading about them when my oldest son was born 7 years ago.

I agree, for this type of event, if you aren’t tight yet (which is totally fine 1 month PP) that she should have worn something to help smooth things out.

- Amanda on

Do some of you enjoy being cruel to other women? Does that make you feel superior? Just because YOU were back to your pre-pregnancy weight within a month, doesn’t mean other women can. Due to genetics, type of delivery, size of the baby, etc.

I try to teach my clients not to give into this type of mentality. But how can they not, when they are surrounded by pictures of celebrities that are instantly skinny and are criticized for being “fat” a month after having a baby! Ugh. I was back in my regular shape quickly after both pregnancies BUT I would not in a million years assume that’s the norm.

- martina on

I actually thought she looked great for having a one month old baby and then I read the comments. No wonder celebrities hit the gym and starve themselves after giving birth to get back to their original weight as quickly as they can.

- Sarah K. on

It cracks me up when people complain about airbrushing celebs, them recovering quickly after birth, and retouches….when people just complain and bitch about them not being perfect.

Also, flmom that is great for you but its kinda of stupid to assume that all mom’s would lose every single pound after carrying and going through changes for 9 months. Every woman is different, so its kinda of a Bitchy thing to say, and if you had said that to me I would have thrown a drink in your face.

- Piper on

Go Tia – I think she looks great and like a realistic person after just giving birth a month ago!

- CelebBabyBlogAddict on

She looks gorgeous, great to see a regular mom unlike most celebs!!

Can’t wait to see her new show!

- Capri on

@ flmom you’re rude…not everyone can be as perfect as you!

- Capri on

Piper, good observation. There’s no happy medium. If she walked the red carpet without an ounce of fat on her, people would bitch about how she has an eating disorder, spends her time at the gym instead of caring for her son, etc. Instead, when she actually looks like a mother who had a child four weeks ago, she should wear Spanx or a better fitting dress.

Did anyone ever think she was actually comfortable in her attire and could care less if it didn’t appear that she had washboard abs?
