Spotted: Busy Philipps Snuggles Her Sweetie

Busy Philipps squeezes daughter Birdie Leigh, 2½, at the premiere of Winnie the Pooh, held Sunday in Burbank, Calif.

“I hope this is the first year that she’ll actually be able to sit on set and watch me,” the Cougar Town star, 32, told PEOPLE recently, adding that she has never tried to “hide” anything from her little girl.

“I think that’s really strange, frankly, when parents do that. It’s like why would you want your kid to not know you’re living your dream and you’re doing something that you’ve wanted to do your whole life?”

BumpWatch: Jessica Alba’s Pretty Patterns

Mom-to-be Jessica Alba made a statement in a bold dress — stripes, animal prints and orange — while attending a Baby2Baby benefit event, held Sunday at Jenni Kayne in West Hollywood.

The Spy Kids: All the Time in the World star, 30, say she’s grown more confident in her body since delivering Honor Marie, 3, her first child with husband Cash Warren.

“I was quite shy with it,” Alba tells Allure.

“It wasn’t something I embraced until I had my daughter. I saw how incredible and amazing it is to be a woman and to be able to create a life.”

Since Heidi Klum launched her New Balance collection last fall, it’s become a big part of her wardrobe. We’ve spotted the mom-of-four  — Leni, 7, Henry, 5½, Johan, 4½, and Lou, 21 months — in several of the line’s functional and easy-to-wear pieces not once, or twice, but three times.

On March 19 (left), she wore the Oversize Silk Tee ($88) while shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles. And on June 29 (middle), the active mother rocked the comfy Long Drawstring Dress ($98) for a stroll with the kids in N.Y.C. On May 12 (right), Klum wore the chic Silk Tank Dress ($158) while arriving at LAX with her family.

Katie Holmes Willing to ‘Take the Hit’ for Suri’s Sake

When it comes to raising 5-year-old daughter Suri, Katie Holmes is all about live and let learn.

“Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn’t want to wear her coat,” Holmes, 32, tells InStyle‘s August issue.

“My philosophy is, ‘Well, fine, because after a block of walking you’re going to ask me for your coat.’ So the pictures of her [without a coat in cold weather] are sort of embarrassing, but I said, ‘Suri, I’ll take the hit. Just put it on when you get cold.’”

However, despite her confidence in her parenting techniques, the actress is well aware of the constant criticism she faces in the spotlight.

Lisa Loeb introduces daughter Lyla Rose, 19 months, to a furry friend Sunday at the West Hollywood farmer’s market.

“My daughter is so beautiful and sweet and funny,” the singer, 43, says of her baby girl with husband Roey Hershkovitz.

“She talks a lot, and every day is wonderful and happy.”
