David Beckham: We Want Another Kid

A little brother or sister for baby Harper?

That’s an optimistic possibility, according to dad David Beckham, 36, who’s been fawning over the family’s 2½-week-old new addition.

“We’d love one more,” Beckham, whose brood also includes boys Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8½, and Cruz, 6½, tells the Associated Press.

“We’ve always said we’d love a big family and five was a number. If we’re lucky enough, then we hope to have one more.”

The soccer star, who welcomed his daughter with wife Victoria Beckham on July 10, says baby Harper’s brothers adore her, too. “All the boys won’t leave her alone,” he says, “which is amazing.”

What’s it like having another lady in the house? “It’s different having a little girl,” he says. “She’s elegant.”

Yay for big families. I think they will end up with another girl in about 2 years.

LOL, why do I have a weird feeling the next one would be a boy, if they do have another one?

Wishing them the best on their family..I think it’s great that they both seem to be really hands on parents..

The Beckham’s sure make cute kids. I say: keep ‘em coming!

My only concern would be having so many multiple c-sections (if she did indeed have c sections for all her kid already) I just had my third c section, and my doctor told me it was not advisable to have anymore. Although I think there is conflicting opinions in the medical community regarding this. My mom had 4 c sections, so I guess is depends on doctor, and person.

Best of luck to her and her family. They make beautiful kids.

They want another goat?!?! ;)

- Ali on

wow… they just had a baby 2 weeks ago…. well god bless them.

LOL Sometimes that baby bug and bug to be pregnant happens really fast. Nothing wrong with knowing what you want and going for it.

Can’t wait to see more of lil Harper in the future.

@Ali- I was thinking the SAME thing… it’s silly the amount of people that refer to children as kids. Lol.

Bobby Kennedy’s wife, Ethel had all of her babies via classic (vertical) c-section… I’m pretty sure, too, that they will only proceed with biological kids if it’s considered safe enough by their doctor.

Love them! I’d just be happier to see them adopt at some point…

Ali and Adrienne, If you read the article, you would see that David never said HE wanted a “goat,” People magazine did. So, trying to slam him, didn’t really work. Nice try….

e, adoption is not for everyone and they shouldn’t have to adopt just because people think it would make them “happier.” I just don’t get comments like this. Is it because they have money? I really don’t understand.

- Jillian on

No slamming him or anyone, Jillian, just commenting. Get it?
c-o-m-m-e-n-t-i-n-g… It’s what we are supposed to do here. And I do find it silly.

- Adrienne on

She already pushed her luck with 4 c-sections.

- Mira on

Comments can be slams….duh! I made a c-o-m-m-e-n-t…..and I think that yours was a failed attempt to be funny or to slam him, since he didn’t say it! You should find it silly that People Magazine said it, not David because he didn’t say the word kid, so your comment is actually silly.

Has it been announced that she had Harper via c-section? I didn’t hear this one.

- Jillian on

I agree with Jillian. Why would it make you happier to see them adopt, e? Do you know them? Did you adopt? The fact is, most adoptions are NOT charity cases; most people adopt because they want to add to their family, not because they are “saving” a child.
