Cuddles with Daddy!
Gia Francesca Lopez, 10 months, gets a leg up with Mario Lopez during a recent park playdate in Los Angeles.
The Extra host, 37, has said he “could be better” at changing his daughter, who wears a Pamper Prints diaper here.
“Everything she does is cute to me,” Lopez says of his baby girl with girlfriend Courtney Mazza.

I remember when Gia was a few months old there were all these comments over her picture how she looks mentally disabled and how she’s not a cute baby, anyways the comments were pretty mean, so I hope people realize that nothing good will come out of calling little babies/children mean names and almost picking on them it seems. To me same applies for adults, all of us look different and have flaws, insulting anyone based on their physical appearance to me seems very immature and rude. Plus we all have our own opinions of what we think looks good and what doesn’t. Just don’t be rude about it.

Nella, what’s sad is every time I see pics of her is, I think of the nasty things people said about her. I don’t know what goes through peoples minds to say such nasty things. I don’t know what I would do if they were being said about my daughter.

@Jennifer- So what if its a staged photo of a father and his half naked 10 month old in the park? Its no different than a father/mother and their half naked babies getting their photos taken in the studio. Thats staged too and I personally look back affectionately at those sort of photos from my childhood.
I think Gia is adorable and Mario looks like a dad that is totally in love with his daughter. We should all be as lucky.

A cutie, but shouldn’t she be wearing more than a diaper out? A shirt wouldn’t cover the diaper, and maybe go with the fact she has shoes on?
Crystal, some babies are just tiny. My 8 months old is still a peanut, huge eater and never had more than a cold, just petite.

I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say – based on the shoes, bow and obvious diaper bag hanging over his shoulder – that she was probably dressed and either got hot, dirty or wet, so he took her outfit off. It’s not the end of the world, it’s not trashy and it’s not neglect. It’s something that I’m willing to bet most of us “humanly imperfect” moms have all done at least once in our child’s life!

Sorry T, but if I need to remove my child’s outfit while out – I put a new one on. Most parents have at least one change stashed in the diaper bag.
It is pretty obvious he wanted her in just a diaper – probably for the photo op and product placement.

T, I agree completely. What do you do when the baby explodes through their diaper, gets wet, has food all over them, dirt all over them from playing?? You go change their diaper, and bring her back to mom to see which outfit to put on next. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
Gia is a little cutie. I am so glad pictures of my kids and I are not up here for you all to judge so harshly. Give the guy a break. Maybe he is a huge jerk, but Gia is an innnocent child.

T, I NEVER went out without several changes of clothes, specifically for my daughter getting dirty, spitting up, pooing everywhere, anything. At ANY age, I would NEVER take my child out in just a diaper – never have and never will. So your statement is null and void. Would you take your child out in public in just his/her underwear? Don’t think so. Put some clothes on this baby for pete’s sake.

Reesca, before you “null and void” my comment, let me make clear that I never said I took my child out without clothing. Or even without a change of clothing. This snapshot is literally a split-second of that child’s life. How do you know that the baby didn’t get wet, hot, dirty and this is the “after mess” but “before new outfit” moment that was captured.

Wow, some of you ladies reaaally need to get a life. I never realized parenthood was a competition! It seems like not one parent or child is safe on this site; as soon as something is posted the vultures swoop in. People have different parenting views- deal with it. Just because someone does something not to your taste, DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE A BAD PARENT. I’m personally not a fan of Mario, but I would never go psycho over a picture of his daughter in a diaper… she’s a baby! It’s summertime! GET OVER IT. I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion, but insulting another person over something so minor is just ridiculous and catty. None of us are perfect 100% of the time!

A father in love with his child shot…that’s adorable! There’s nothing wrong with taking a babies clothes off in public and leaving the in a diaper… there aren’t always bug and mosquitoes around you know.
