Mary McCormack — who’s expecting her third child this September — visits the set of Extra Wednesday at The Grove in Los Angeles.
“I am so blessed at my age to be having a baby,” the In Plain Sight star, 42, says. “I’m thrilled and it’s like a miracle.”
McCormack and husband Michael Morris are already parents to daughters Rose, 4, and Margaret, 6½.

I have a feeling this baby is another girl for some reason. Either way, can’t wait to hear the name.
And I wonder if they’re really going to go through with the adoption storyline on IPS. As much as I’d like it, I kinda want Mary/Marshall to raise the baby together since, in his words, “It’s their baby”. I’m so torn!

Re: IPS storyline. Can you really have a single female marshal raising an infant? Seems improbable. Did Marshall really say that? I haven’t seen the latest episode – I save it all on Hulu for the weekend.

I love this show, and so enjoy the relationship between Mary and Marshall!
I, for one, would love to see them follow through with the adoptions, and let it be a really positive situation and relationship between Mary and the adoptive parents. As an adoptive and bio parent, it would be great to see a positive spin on adoption (which usually is a positive thing), and it would be a bit different then the usual “Oh my gosh! I can’t give up my baby because it’s all about ME, not the baby!”
I’ve known several people (friends) who gave up their children for adoption, and while it was hard it was the very best thing for the child, and everyone has done very well, even though it wasn’t the easiest thing in the world. That needs to be seen sometimes, just because it’s as real as any relationship!

I think it would be great for her to keep her baby and be able to use and her real life baby on set at some point. Her and Marshall would be great raising the baby and it would give it a different twist, especially if her ex comes back into her life. Love the show!!!

Love the show and, especially Mary and Marshall. I hope that the baby is healthy and that the delivery is an easy one! I for one hope this show continues until the baby grows up. It is one of the best of the best on TV.
