Mini Must-Have: Suri Cruise’s Pretty Sundress

While jumping waves and digging in the sand with mom Katie Holmes in Miami earlier this month, Suri Cruise opted for a colorful and cute coverup instead of a swimsuit.

Since we’re big fans of the 5-year-old’s chic mini style, we just had to get the details on her pretty floral-print frock.

After a little digging, we found out she was wearing Twirly Girl‘s Lovely Spring Dress ($62), which she picked out herself while window shopping with her parents in Century City, Calif. last year.

62 is cheap compared to some kids clothes we see on here. That said, in the big picture, it IS a cheaper dress for someone with millions of dollars.

it´s not your daughter who would love it, it´s you who would love seeing your child in the same cloths as the worlds most popular child to make you feel you are a good mother that dress your child like a star-child.

exactly, she strikes you as a girl that doesn´t like to get dirty because her parent dont want her to ruin her 1000 dollar dresses and therefore keep her out of the sand most of the time. I´m glad her parents found a dress for 60 dollar she can play in. they can afford that loss.

They’re not strange. You are. Who looks at a few photos and decides a family is strange? Describe a “normal family”. I see a married couple with three children who manage to make time for each other despite their busy schedules. Children that stay perfectly groomed all the time or not the norm. Children’s hair come out of ponytails or look like they been rolling around on the floor that’s normal. Active kids get a little messy.

She is a strikingly beautiful little girl and it’s sad her photos always have to be picked apart by opiniated people who have nothing better to do than to negatively criticize her photo. Love the dress…very pretty. I’m sure she had a fun time in that sandbox.

She probably does have playdates, just in the safe confines of her/their home(s). I’ve never seen Kate H., Live T., Hugh J., SJP, Courtney C. etc… children around other kids either but that doesn’t mean they don’t have friends or playdates. Maybe the other kids parents don’t want their kids harrassed by paps and feel comfortable with their children playing together away from public places because of that. She’s a really pretty little girl.

For starters, children do not smile 24/7. No one does. Additionally, a child should be able to have fun without a friend around. If they can’t, that is very sad. My daughter has friends, but is able to have fun whether they are around or not.

No, my daughter would love the dress, not me. She is old enough to tell me what she likes to where and the dress in the picture is what she likes. I don’t dress my child to look like Suri or anyone else. She dresses the way she wants.

People will nitpick about her regardless of what she is doing. Suri can be doing things and people will nitpick. The same things that if Seraphina/Violet was doing (who I see playing with no friends) people think is the greatest. It is all about the family. If there is something to be “worried” about, fine. But I don’t worry about a celebrity family, I don’t know, about things I don’t know. I worry about real things, I do know.

Toya, I agree. I do recall one friend she played with on the set of The Kennedy’s. There are many children who don’t have playdates. I could name a ton right now. I think of Violet Affleck. I don’t recall her having play dates and she is about the same age. Or Heidi Klum’s children. And I agree, Suri is beautiful.

There have actually been quite a few photos of suri with other children over the past week. I’ve seen them on some smaller sites or fansites. For some reason those photos rarely ever get purchased by the mainstream celebrity sites.

Woah @J, your comment sounds vicious. It’s not because she’s wearing a dress, it’s a thought that comes to mind because she is rarely, if ever, seen just playing at a park or in the dirt, which is understandable given her parents being so well known. That doesn’t mean she isn’t like any other kid. Geez, calm down.

CUTE dress!! My DD is in love with it. Seems like it would be a pretty easy dress to actually make tho….for those of us who are crafty ~.^

For the comment about not smiling….I guess your children must smile 24/7. Their poor little cheeks!! My dd plays quite often without cracking a smile….kids tend to get serious when playing. Perhaps you should take your own advice and liven up.

People are WORRIED about her? Worried about a child you don’t even KNOW? Worried about a little girl with parents who obviously LOVE her and care for her? I’m WORRIED….not about Suri, but about YOU people who have nothing better to do than pick apart a little girl and her family over every little thing they do. That is what worries ME.

There’s another post on here with Kingston in a 132.00 blazer. Are you worried about HIS parents spending too much money on him? He also now has BLUE HAIR. Are you WORRIED about him??? Yeah, I thought not…

As for not seeing her smile or see friends. You get but a NANOSECOND glimpse into her life…and you judge that she has no friends or never smiles. Again…WOW. You people are unbelievable!
