“By the time I had my kids, I wasn’t on the cover of Vogue every month anymore, so it wasn’t quite as in their faces,” the model, 45, said recently.
“I think sometimes they’re still a little bit surprised or tickled when I get recognized or people say certain things. But I did get some playground credibility after doing Wizards of Waverly Place! All of the sudden their friends knew who I was.”

Make room on the catwalk — Maggie Rizer is pregnant.
The model, 33, and husband Alex Mehran are expecting a baby boy in November, Rizer announced on her blog.
“It’s true! Alex and I couldn’t possibly be more excited! We will be welcoming a baby boy this November!” she wrote.
“We’ve been having lots of fun these past few months getting ready for the new arrival and will be sure to let you know how things are with our ever-growing family.”
Rizer and Mehren wed in Sept. 2010 in Lake Placid, N.Y.

As if we weren’t already in heaven with the recent launch of the Gucci, Fendi and Versace children’s collections, Lanvin has jumped in the fray with a capsule line — Lanvin Petite.
Drawing from the French design house’s history — founder Jeanne Lanvin opened a kids department in 1908 after having daughter Marguerite — current head designer Alber Elbaz has created 25 pieces for girls aged 4 to 10.
On sale starting this November, the collection includes everything from silk taffeta trench coats with beaded sleeves to ribbon-embellished T-shirts.

Jennifer Lopez takes time out from her press tour de France Thursday to hit the streets of Paris with daughter Emme Maribel, 3, in tow.
The American Idol judge, 41, says that she and her daughter enjoy primping together.
“When I get ready for work we lay everything out – the pants, shoes, earrings, belts,” says Lopez.
“[Emme] does that now in her room. She says, ‘Okay, I need pants’ and ‘That matches. I need a barrette.’ It’s crazy!”

He’s a star on stage as the frontman of 311, but Nick Hexum has proven his talent out of the spotlight as well.
Despite having planned a midwife-assisted homebirth to deliver their second child — daughter Maxine Vita — the singer was forced to step in himself when wife Nikki suddenly went into labor.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the baby girl became lodged in the birth canal.
“After Max’s head popped out, the delivery stalled for the next couple of contractions. The baby’s head was blue and the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck,” he tells PEOPLE of the May 1 birth. ”I was worried the cord was choking her, keeping blood from getting to her brain.”
