Spooky! Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott host a séance party — complete with costumes and an Ouija board cake! — for the actress’s 38th birthday at their Los Angeles-area home recently. The couple expect a sibling for Liam Aaron, 4, and Stella Doreen, 3, this October.

That’s pretty original for a birthday party! I’m sure the decorations weren’t too spooky for Liam and Stella because they’re so little, but the real Ouija board game is for real spooky. At least that’s my experience…

I wonder if she tried to talk with her dad.

Uhhh… OK. (If you can’t say anything nice… right?)

I love the party theme. I think I would be a little uncomfortable dressing my children like horror movie characters…

Los Angeles? My friend spotted Tori in Toronto the other day. This is obviously a stale photo.

Ha! Is Liam dressed as Chuckie?!? Love it.

Well it says it was for Tori’s birthday which was the middle of May. The photos were probably just released for public use though. It’s cute! Good party idea.

Cool party idea!

@Sarah S. – My experience of using one once at the age of 19, was interesting but spooky and I vowed I’d never use one again.

Hmmmmm….. A little macabre for a family Birthday. Kind of normal for a Hollywood party, where anything goes! The kids probably didn’t really get scared, but treated it more like “dress up.”

I like spooky. I met my granddad in 1993. Thing is he died in 1981.
