Lily Allen Is Married – and Pregnant!

Lily Allen has two things to smile about.

The singer, 26, married Sam Cooper at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire, England, on Saturday — and the newlyweds are expecting a baby, her rep confirms.

Dressed in a gown with long lace sleeves and a fishtail skirt by French designer Delphine Manivet, the bride was given away by her father, and then made her way out of the church with her new husband to a waiting car as a crowd cheered.

“It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that — it is something wonderful,” Manivet told The Telegraph.

“For me, and for her too, when you’re pregnant you want to show that, but also be respectful, so the dress was perfect for her for that moment.”

Cooper revealed the happy baby news to wedding guests, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

The baby news comes seven months after Allen and Cooper announced the heartbreaking loss of their son.

The wedding, which took place in the village of Cranham in the English countryside, was no secret. Allen’s wedding date was leaked to the press by an unknown guest, who sent the save-the-date card to British newspapers in March.

On Friday, Allen and Cooper were spotted arriving at the church for their rehearsal. Allen’s dad Keith Allen, an actor and musician, was also spotted with a ukulele — perhaps planning to serenade the happy couple.

Cooper, a decorator and business owner, popped the question during a romantic getaway last Christmas.

I know it’s probably a misprint, but her second baby she lost was stillborn, not a miscarriage. She was due in January and lost her baby in November. I really hope she has a smooth and healthy pregnancy this time; she deserves it!

I belive in life you have to be optimistic about things, otherwise most people wouldn’t bother trying hard to achieve at something they really want. Plus it definitely helps relieve stress when a person is more optimistic and somewhat positive about more difficult situations that happen in life.

I do wish Lily a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.It seems like she really wants to be a mother and I hope that wish comes true for her. I can’t even imagine how difficult it must be to go through miscarriages/stillbirths and how heartbreaking it can be, but I have a feeling she will have a healthy baby. Wow Olivia, 2 losses does not by any means mean you cannot have a full term healthy baby. Most women I know who have had miscarriages have unfortunately had more than one and most of those women have healthy living children as well.

I had two very heartbreaking miscarriages prior to having my daughter and even though I had complications with her I carried my girl full term and she came out fine… I had my boy two years later… Who knows what factors come into play when miscarriages and stillborn births happen but it doesn’t mean you give up hope… I cherish my children so much more because of it… I wish Lilly only the best in her pregnancy and the delivery of her child…

I had 5 miscarriages over the last 3 years (all in the first trimester, never after) and am now looking at my 6 week old son as we speak. It is entirely possible that she carries this baby to term, and pray she can make it this time.

Technically pregnancy loss in the first trimester is called abortion, in the second miscarriage, and stillbirth in the third. However, as abortion is associated with a non-spontaneous event, people tend to use miscarriage to refer to early loss and stillbirth later on. Her late-term miscarriage/stillbirth was due to infection which is generally rare and induces labour. It is unlikely to happen again and is completely different to early miscarriages that can be caused by a number of things. Any women experiencing miscarriage and stillbirth has my deepest sympathy. Occasionally there will be problems with the mother that prevent a pregnancy going to term, but that is not the case for most miscarriages. Some people have many more and go on to have healthy children. It’s hard but two miscarriages is too early to give up in my opinion, particularly as she is young. I’ve had two. If every one stopped after two miscarriages there would be a lot less people in the world. She should be able to carry to term and I wish her all the best for her pregnancy.

My cousin had one healthy baby, two miscarriages, another healthy baby, and is currently expecting again. No one can predict how these things will go.

I hope Lily is able to carry a healthy baby to term. She obviously wants to be a mother, I’m betting any child of hers will be well-loved and cherished.

Its the most wonderful news especially after suffering two traumatic losses….it does not matter whether the loss is first, second or third, a loss is a loss and is traumatic no matter what.

I had miscarriage two years ago in first trimester and also have infertility so I have double whammy….a perfect way to get over miscarriage is to fall pregnant again and many women do and quickly not to say its not hard but its easier then those who suffer miscarriages and infertility its like we are hit with the stick twice….Im currently under IVF cycle #1 and hoping for success …with infertility you grieve every month you have your period with the hope it worked this time its not easy at all

Emma, why do people get pregnant or adopt at all? Young children are dying right now as I type this. Some where a couple is being denied the option of adopting a child…Either way you go you risk you losing your child, your heart, and your mind. But if you want to know that joy being a parent brings you have to be optimistic and take some chances in life right?

MIscarriages are actually super common, so while they are sad for the people who experience them, they are not abnormal and are necessary. While some women have more challenges staying pregnant, it does not mean that she will never carry a baby to term. It could just mean that she had two instances of bad luck.

Emma, I’m going to assume you aren’t as naive as you seem but adoption is never full-proof and there can be just as many heartbreaks throughout the process. Just because of two, unfortunate circumstances in her past, it does not mean that it’s impossible to carry a healthy child to term.

As a previous poster mentioned, there are risks in parenting, itself, even if the mother gives birth to an unhealthy child. Surely you’ve seen the news and heard about drownings, car accidents, abductions, etc. There are no guarentees in life but, as a parent, you have to take a chance, love and protect your children to the best of your ability, and hope for the best.

Emma, have you ever been a part of an adoption where the parents change their mind? How about twice? Some people feel adoption is so easy and it actually can cause much hearbreak for a family. Having the birth parent(s) change their mind is losing your child and it sucks. While, I personally have not had it happen to me, it happen to my aunt and uncle twice, so I felt some of the heartache.

Obviously, Ms. Allen is aware of her health and any conditions she does or doesnt have…i think if she is already pregnant again then it is likely her OB is telling her that she should be able to carry and birth a baby of her own, and she has just had bad luck in the past or she wouldnt put herself through this again…In my opinion she is very brave and is just trying to get what so many other woman in this life want, a happy family of her own..
