Expectant mom Kate Hudson glows at the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s Costume Institute Gala Benefit, held Monday in N.Y.C.

The Something Borrowed star, 32, chose a stretch silk and crystal embroidered strapless Stella McCartney gown accesorized with an Edie Parker clutch, Casadei platforms and Fred Leighton jewels for the event.

Hudson and fiancé Matthew Bellamy await the arrival of their delivery surprise — thought to be a girl! — this July.

Spotted: Ellen Pompeo and Stella’s Swing Time

Ellen Pompeo and daughter Stella Luna were spotted taking part in park playtime on Monday in New York City, where the baby girl clearly enjoyed herself on the swings!

“I thought I was happy before, but she just brings so much joy. She’s such a happy girl,” the Grey’s Anatomy star, 41, said recently.

Stella, 19 months, is the only child for Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery.

BumpWatch: Jessica Alba’s Serious Sparkle

Jessica Alba made quite the statement at Monday evening’s Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s Costume Institute Gala Benefit, held in New York City.

“Balance is a little tricky!” the mom-to-be, 30, told PEOPLE, showing off her award-winning style in a statuesque Ralph Lauren Collection custom platinum lamé gown and Casadei triple platform peep toes.

With her second child due this fall, big sister Honor Marie, 2½, is getting ready for her new role.

“She says, ‘I want to be the mommy. I’m going to feed the baby. I’m going to tell the baby what to do,’” Alba laughs. “She’s excited that she’s going to be the boss of something.”

In the Big Apple promoting her latest flick, Jumping the Broom, Paula Patton steps out with her boys — husband Robin Thicke and son Julian Fuego — on Friday in New York City.

Julian, 13 months, is the only child for the actress, 35, and singer/songwriter Thicke, who wed in June 2005.

“He’s my little prince [so] I gotta take over the world in 18 years so I can leave it to him,” Thicke, 34, joked recently.
