There’s a new little king in the Followill family.

Kings of Leon guitarist Matthew Followill and wife Johanna Bennett welcomed their first child, son Knox Cameron Patrick Followill, on Friday, April 22, a rep for the band confirms to PEOPLE.

Knox was born in Nashville, Tenn., at 1:02 p.m. and weighed in at 6 lbs., 10 oz.

“Mother, father and baby are happy and healthy and doing well!” the rep said in a statement.

Followill and Bennett, both 26, are the first Kings of Leon couple to have a child, although the majority of the band is settling down as well.

Drummer Nathan Followill wed singer Jessie Baylin in Nov. 2009, while frontman Caleb Followill will marry model Lily Aldridge this month.

Haha, ANOTHER Followill boy? Those are some strong genes! 😀

Anyways, congratulations to the couple on the birth on what I’m sure is a beautiful baby. I love the name, something a bit different followed by two classic names. I wonder if he’ll go by a middle like the rest of them?

Looks like there’s a new trend…

as much as i love Kings of Leon i am not crazy about the name. i like the middle names. but i just think Knoxs sounds too much like a strange noise. 🙂 anyway, congrats to the happy family.

I don’t like names that end in X, if this makes sense they give the impression that the name doesn’t end. Bronx, Knox….

I really like the name Knox. I like boys names ending in x, Max and Rex in particular.

Congrats to them!
I love the name! And because I am oh so easily amused I find it funny that he is from the kings of LEON and he named his son KNOX, and Brad and Angie’s son’s name is Knox Leon. 🙂 This means absoultely nothing, I just thought it was a cute little coinky dink.

The names are all fine, but it all adds up to a mouthful. I’m thinking save a name for another possible kid in the future! My husband and I liked three names for a first name but didn’t use all three! We used the other two names on two other kids. Luckily we weren’t torn when it came to naming our girl. I suppose this child will have options if he wants to choose a different name to call himself?

I wonder is he will go by his middle name Cameron like the rest of the Followill guys, either way he will have a good strong name.

The Followills all go by their middle name so maybe baby Knox will be known as Cameron. And he’s named for Daddy, cos Matthew’s first name is Cameron. Congratulations!

Congratulations Matthew and Johanna! I like the name Knox quite a bit!

My son’s name is Knox, so obviously I love the name…what I don’t love is that it’s becoming such a trendy Hollywood name (and yes, we named him before it was “popular”)! Oh well.

I like the name-another Knox like Jolie-Pitt.

I like the name as well, though I had a feeling the Angelina Jolie comparison would come up. If I’m not mistaken, I think Knox Jolie-Pitt’s middle name is Lyon (as in the French city), not Leon. I still see the irony though 😉

Oops, I guess I should do some research BEFORE I post. It is Knox Leon. For some reason I was thinking it was Lyon 🙂
