No Doubt’s Adrian Young Expecting a Daughter

The No Doubt family continues to expand! Adrian Young and wife Nina are expecting a baby girl in June, the drummer announced Wednesday.

“Nina and I are thrilled to announce the upcoming birth of Mason‘s little sister next month!” Young, 41, wrote on the band’s official Web site. “The three of us are over the moon excited. We cannot wait to meet her and for her to join the No Doubt family.”

The new addition will join Mason, 9, along with the other No Doubt children: Tom Dumont‘s sons Koa Thomas, 11 weeks, Rio Atticus, 2½, and Ace Joseph, 5; Tony Kanal‘s daughter Coco Reese Lakshmi, 3 months, and Gwen Stefani‘s sons Zuma Nesta Rock, 2½, and Kingston James McGregor, 5 this month.

I’m a little perplexed at Jennifer’s reaction to the name Mason. Sure, it’s not everyone’s taste, but you have to admit it’s a pretty normal name! I love how all the No Doubt members have kids around the same age. Hopefully they’ll all grow up close to each other and be good friends.

Jennifer is a weirdo. If we all liked the same names we’d all HAVE the same names. While I roll my eyes at plenty, I’m glad you arent all named from a top 10 list anymore. My first’s name was #88 on the top 100 girls names, while the second was #1. You pick what you like and who cares about anyone’s opinion!

SO happy for this couple, I clicked on it because I remembered the loss of their last daughter so late in the pregnancy. So sad. This daughter doesnt bring back the one they lost of course, but its still a new chance, a new life, a new little girl to have forever. Congrats!

Comparatively speaking, “Mason” is sooo much better than “Rio,” “Zuma,” and “Ace.” I mean, come on! “Ace” is not a name for a person…a family dog maybe, but a child?!? Of course, those are still better than “Apple” and “Pilot Inspektor.” Seriously, what is wrong with these people?!?

To clarify my earlier comment, in MY opinion, Mason is a forgettable, bland, namby-pamby name — much like Cody, Jaden, Logan, etc. Blah…. Whatever happened to classic, strong, and masculine names?! If you don’t agree, then that’s your opinion. But this is mine.

Mason is not my taste but I quite like it better then Apple, Pilot and now Morrocan!!

Kelly: yeah they did, she was quite far along when she lost her, i think around 7-8 months gone (if anyone can correct me or be more specific please do). I was thinking of them when all the other ND baby announcements were coming, i can understand why they waited so long to announce this pregnancy, under the circumstances.

Good for them! The last pregnancy must have been beyond heartbreaking. Especially SO far along. She’ll get to play with Tony’s daughter. I can’t wait to see all of these kids grow up. Who knows, maybe they’ll start a band.

Wow I didn’t realize that they lost a child – how heartbreaking. I wish them all the best with their new edition. And I’m not sure what all the hoopla is, but I think Mason is a wonderful name – it’s my son’s name!
