When it came time for Mariska Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann to choose a name for their 1-week-old daughter, the entire family got involved.
“We all talked about names because everything is a family decision in our house,” says Hargitay.
That meant also consulting her 4½-year-old son, August, for ideas.
“I threw out my name and he threw out his name and I said, ‘August, why do you get to name the baby?’ And he said, ‘Because it’s my idea!’” the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 47, says with a laugh.

Sunshine day!
Pregnant Selma Blair takes a sunny stroll to Urth Caffé for lunch Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The actress, 38, recently revealed that she’s due this summer, but says she’s going to keep the sex of the baby under wraps for now.
“I’m not going to say what it is yet,” she explains. “Hopefully, it’s one or the other. Who knows these days!”

On Feb. 11, we spotted Ruby Maguire in a chic springtime outfit (yellow sweater, floral dress and brown boots) while getting picked up — literally! — by dad Tobey Maguire in Santa Monica, Calif.
But from the cream lace bib collar to the pretty print, it was her beautiful frock that really caught our eye.

Kenny Powers has hit another homer.
“I got married last October. I wasted zero time — three months later I knocked my wife up. It happened very quickly,” Eastbound and Down star Danny McBride told Conan O’Brien on Wednesday evening’s show.
“I had never impregnated anyone before, so I didn’t really realize what they teach you in health class is actually true — that’s all it takes,” McBride, 34, joked. “It’s amazing.”

Tina Fey has some big news to talk about!
During a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday, the 30 Rock star, 40, revealed that she’s expecting her second child.
The mom-to-be is five months along, a rep for the actress confirms to PEOPLE. Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, also have a 5½-year-old daughter, Alice.
Fey shared the news during an appearance to promote her new book, Bossypants, and an upcoming Saturday Night Live reunion. Oprah’s chat with Fey is scheduled to air April 12.
