It didn’t take much for Céline Dion to realize she wasn’t ready to retire after welcoming fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson last October.
“I’m having a great time as a singer to do, I think, an amazing show. It’s such a grand, chic, beautiful ‘Hollywood like the old days’ show,” Dion — who returned to the stage five months after delivering the babies — tells ET Canada.
“They work that trumpet, they work that violin, I work that dress, I’m telling you — we have a great time!”
However, while she may be confident in her decision, Dion, 43, admits leaving her children — including 10-year-old son René-Charles — to perform hasn’t gotten any easier.
“It is very intense so I try to get here as late as possible and get home as quick as I can,” she says. “The first thing before I start a show, I think of my kids and always say, ‘This one’s for you guys.’”
